well what books do you like? I read everything. from the leven thumps series and the children of the lamp series to J.R. Ward and James Patterson.
Currently reading: Oliver Twist, A Storm of Swords, and Corpus Christi. The last one is by Luke Romyn, who offers several good titles in fantasy/action/horror.
Hmm...ever read Tiger's curse series by Colleen Houck? bittersweet ending there. Or Anne McCaffrey's dragon riders of pern series? several of those have sad endings Dragonsdawn, Chronicles of Pern First Fall, and Moretta Dragonlady of pern are perfect for sad endings as well. Especially Moretta
Would like to request suggestions for as captivating a book as "Perfume" by Patrick Suskind. I have been spoiled and cant start anything after this book. A little help please? Mara
I'm currently reading Eragon, which is something completely new to me as I've never really read anything like it! I absolutely love it though! :D
We're a publisher...But we do have a book that other book clubs have adopted called No Permanent Scars by Michael Hemery. It was adopted by The Beyond David Sedaris Book Club and The Bookaholics Book Club. We hope you guys will consider it for your reading pleasure. Here's a book trailer and all the info you'll ever need:

Thanks for reading! Regardless if it's our books or not ;)
Has finished Yellow Crocus - Laila Ibrahim Which I found to be like Roots: The Saga of an American Family - Alex Haley which I've only seen the film, but can picture it in my head. Now I've picked up In Stitches - Nick Edwards For a challenge I am doing at the moment,
Currently reading the third book of the Chemical Garden series by Lauren DeStefano, called Sever, which is a series i would def. recommend
Finished reading What's Left of Me yesterday and it was okay. I'm starting Crewel right now. I really hope I enjoy this book, the past few books I've read have all been just okay!
I just finishedDivergent by Veronica Roth. If you like Dystopian, I recommend it. I am reading some Jerry Spinelli books which are more for intermediate (trying to find some for my son plus I love Jerry Spinelli's books - they usually have a great message). Just finished Wringer and currently reading Loser. Now...for a great recommendation: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. After reading this I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. Talk about an emotional roller-coaster :)
Finished
by Liz Jensen, after staying up til the early hours of the morning so that I could finish it. Highly recommend reading that one, if you haven't already.Later tonight, I'll start
by Stephenie Meyer.
I have read Gone Girl. Personally i think the book is good, but not too good. I just pity both of the characters, and i dont like them. The plot is well.. average, i think.
New Reads:He Loves Lucy by Susan Donovan
Urban Legends: 666 Absolutely True Stories That Happened to a Friend...of a Friend of a Friend by Thomas Craughwell
Strange Bedpersons by Jennifer Cruise
Re-reads:
Stray by Rachel Vincent
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
The Good, the Bad, and the Undead by Kim Harrison
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
I've gotten further in the re-reads than the new reads but I suppose that's typical for me.
Finishing City of Bones!! Really good book, can't wait to know how it ends! DON'T TELL ME! haha :p
Hi everyone! I'm currently reading Wayfarers by Winfred O. Cook and you know it's probably one of the most awe-inspiring books and feels a lot like something by Harper Lee.
It should be a best-seller.
:D I'll be doing a full review

Please let me know what you think once you reach that point. You WILL know what I'm talking about when you reach it.

I love those urban legend books :)
I am currently reading Insurgent. I finished Divergent last week. But before that I was reading Lucid by Stoltz and Bass and I found the book to be very enjoyable and interesting. I would definitely recommend it.
I tried reading Fallen Star by Jessica Sorenson and I have to say, It's a horrible pre-teen book. It's like I am reading little girl gossip.
I'm currently reading If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch which is really good so far (probably be finished tonight) and I'm also reading Hard Truth by Nevada Barr.
I am reading Spetimus Heap (by Angie Sage) nowadays. I have only just started and am on the 1st book. So far its ok. Its a kids series. Although at times, i do think that the noval is a bit slow at places. Its still a good book. So i would recomend it to anyone who loves fiction (with wizards and witches and magic) and does not mind a bit slow book.Secondly Im reading The Hobbit. I know its a bit too old, but its AWESOME! Anyone like me who hasn't read it, SHOULD read it! Don't depend on the movie. As awesome as it is (and i hope the next parts are too), i would still say that you should read the book as it is the real story and the movie is a bit different at places like other lord of The Ring movies.

I'm re-reading _In Cold Blood_. I can't get over the level of style Truman Capote has...amazing. I just can't find writing like this anymore (sad, really.) Highly recommended to anyone that hasn't read Capote, or is looking for some an amazing read that also has a "True Crime" element to it.

Right, i just think that happy ending is too common. Im not saying that happy ending is a bad story, some are even a masterpiece. I just think that if its sad ending then people will be able to get more emotional, and know that not all things end well.

I thought they are going to be super great but they are not that great , I mean if you lower your expectation you may be able to go through them , I am seriously having very difficult time finishing them.
I am reading Resistance, Parody and Double Consciousness in African American Theatre, 1895-1910 by David Krasner.

I just finished reading one of the best literature book Dr Zhivago by a Russian writer Boris Pasternak. He won Noble prize in 1958. Now I am reading The Man by Irving Wallace, however finding it difficult to concentrate on this book as my mind is preoccupied with previous book. Hope my reading turns around in few days.
