Steph, I hope you love Darkhouse as much as I did. I just devoured the entire series and can't wait for the next one to come out.I just finished reading
which was a lot of fun, and I'm currently on
and
.
Steph wrote: "Thanks, Kerstin! I'm liking it so far, spoooooky. :D"You'll want to read all her books once you finish Darkhouse.
I agree, it's a very addictive series.AH, have you read any of the authors other books? I'm interested in trying Sins & Needles.

I have it on my summer reading list. I love her writing style so I can't wait.
Someone mentioned Julie Garwood in the comments, so I downloaded and read
and
for a little highlander lovin'So I also did a revisit and a re-listen of
and working on
. I read these way before the Fever series and forgot all the connections other than the McKelter's...
*feels scolded* ;)Glad you enjoyed it, Kerstin. I really enjoyed that series, but the sexual tension between Mira and Danaus drove me crazy.
I finished
and have moved right on to
. I wanna know more about Perry and Dex' history and she keeps giving just a tad bit more ... enough to entice me into reading the next one. I'm not sure if the reason is the same for those of you reading (or have read) the series, but it's definitely addicting. Although, each of the books so far could'a benefited from some editing or better editing, whichever.
I'm curious to start the next one, Steph. I really want to find out more about who Danaus really is.See, it is a really addictive series! Wanting to find out more about Dex and Perry's past was a big reason, and I also loved the characters themselves. They are so flawed and real.
I know what you mean about the editing, but it didn't bother me all that much. The story kept me too enthralled to care :)
Hope you enjoy the series, Kerstin. #4, Pray for Dawn, is told in his POV. :DI completely agree. I've finished Dead Sky Morning (favorite so far) and will backtrack to the 2.5 short The Benson today. I forgot about that one earlier. I really don't like Dex calling her "kiddo" all the time, bugs me. Makes him sound 3x her age instead of 9 yrs older. Otherwise ... I'm hooked too. LOL!
Oh Sandra! A while ago we were roughly at the same point with Riley Jenson but I've fallen behind now :PHow are you liking the series?

Josie, I'm really enjoying them. I like the fact that she uses Melbourne places, even though I don't live there, I have visited plus you hear them on the news etc, so it feels really Aussie to me :DDDD
I'm reading one a month, I've got the whole series plus a few others listed in a couple of challenges - SOS I've Started So I'll Finish - 2013 - The Sequel; RRRC 2013 Stacking the Series Challenge; Shifter Love - Over the Rainbow Challenge; so that makes it easier to keep track.
I miss that series! Glad you're enjoying it. I need to get back to her spin-off, Dark Angels. I've only read the first, but have the next 3 on-hand TBR.I'm flyin' through the EIT series, like many other SOSers. Damn these cliffhangers! LOL!
I've finished
. Now, I'm reading
before moving onto
, which I'm very excited about b/c it's in Dex's POV. I expect I'll finish what's published just in time for book 7 to be come out, then I'll have BSB to take the edge off any withdrawal. LOL!

this morning and enjoying its spookiness so far. Hubby gifted me the audio version of [bo..."Yay Steph!! LOL did you even stop to breath. LMAO!! Now you understand the addiction. Are you going through withdrawal and shaking like I am ? :D
I love the audio of those Dresden books. :) Enjoy. I am slowly doing a re-read of the series by audio. And Lis -- I love to revisit Moning's highlanders!!
LOL Regina! No stoppin' me now. I've finished ... screw it, I don't know what's up with GR today, but nothing but a dummy page for Darkhouse is coming up. I finished OLD BLOOD and DEX FILES. Now, I'm onto INTO THE HOLLOW and then I'm sure I'll jump into AND WITH MADNESS COMES THE LIGHT. Then, I'll just have a day or two before LITTLE FIFTEEN and COME ALIVE are out. Addiction? What a addiction? I'm not addicted! I can stop anytime. Anytime, I tell ya! LMAO!
LOL! I'm finally reading them now too :DThough I am reading it in the middle of the night, in the dark, which probably isn't the best idea...
Some are reeeeally spooky, esp when reading at night. Others are just a tad on the spooky side. Love the characters!
Yay! :D Hoping to start it tonight. LOL! Ah, well, guess you may wanna pass on them. Too bad though b/c I really love the characters!
Sandra wrote: "Sounds way too spooky for me. ROFL"They are spooky, but so much fun to read out loud to someone. It's kind of like those black and white scary movies relying on the shadows more than the gore. Very addictive and I am a wimp when it comes to scary stuff.
Those black & white movies are terrifying. LOL. I have nightmares if I think of The Fly before bed and it would be 40 yrs since I've seen it. ROFL.
LOL! I slept fine!Maybe if you read it in the day Sandra, it won't be scary. I haven't found it too bad so far and I never watch scary films or horrors!
Oh and I've also heard good things about the author's other series (I think it's a trilogy) - has anyone read that one yet?ETA: It's a contemporary
I plan to. It is .99 cents right now. Also
is published by a publishing house and amazon has a great deal if you purchase the kindle book the audio book from audible is really cheap.

I agree. Daytime reading isn't as spooky. I'd like to give her other series a go. If all of her characters are this addicting, I'm in for sure.

I had wanted this one for some time (it disappeared for a while when the author pulled it).
I gave it 3 stars and was slightly disappointed. The premise is good but it was a little longwinded in the middle with the yes-no-yes-no virgin debate.
I still intend to read the rest of them eventually.
