Hello Everyone! My name is Brooke and I live in the lovely PNW. Which means I have lots of rainy days that keep me inside reading :-P My favorite genre is fantasy novels, but my favorite author is John Steinbeck (I was hooked many years ago after reading Grapes of Wrath in high school) and my favorite book is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. So, I guess you could say I am pretty eclectic in my tastes. :-)I am excited to join this group and have the opportunity to discuss some of the wonderful books that are out there!
Hi, I'm Jenn and I'm new, too! I teach fifth grade in Florida, so I'm always interested in good children/young adult books, but I also love the classics... Summer starts in 10 more school days, then I plan to devour whatever books fall in my lap throughout the summer, preferably while at the beach. :) I'm eager for good discussions from people that are older than 11. ;)
Hello everyone, I'm very excited to join a group of like minded people with an interest in literature and the curiosity and imagination of a constant reader.
I'm Rose :) I'm a pharmaceutical chemist and hopeless romantic :D I enjoy discussions and challenges and have an open mind and warm heart (I hope :P) and would love to make some friends here and have a chance to discuss things that I love with them.
My goodness. We're growing by leaps and bounds! Welcome, Brooke, Jenn and Rose. And Jenn, many of us are much older than 11. I have an eleven-year-old granddaughter.
Hi all, sorry to take a few days to intro myself. My name is Don, currently in NW Indiana just outside Chicago; just relocated back here for a bit after 3.5 years in Los Angeles. Am a writer who got away from serious reading for some time - which I missed dearly - and since finally getting a Kindle especially REALLY am getting back in the game. I read mostly fiction (literary and popular), mysteries, horror/suspense, and write in the mysteries/horror field, as well as have finished a few television scripts. Not sure my reading tastes are literary enough for this group, but it just seemed so friendly and active, full of vitality, I wanted to come aboard. Hope everyone is doing well!
HI! my name is Ala, i am a sixteen years old girl from Jordan. i love reading in both Arabic and English. my English isn't that good but i'm learning and who is a better teacher than a book-a good one.i like reading fiction, fantasy and sci-fi, but i read a lot of other things.
Hello, my name is Renee. I am a 20 year old fantasy writer and college student. I love reading anything with great characters and a fantastic story line. I would have to say my favorite author is Nora Roberts because she is just brilliant in my opinion. I'm sort of a book snob in the fact that I will read anything I love and not care if someone else my not like what I love because we all have different tastes. I am very glad to join a group that love reading as much as I do and I look forward to discussing books with you in the future. :)
Hi Renee! I like Nora Roberts too. I have a few favorite trilogies of hers. But she is an author that tends to get "repetitive" to me (her books start sounding alike, but they are still fun reads). I haven't read any of her J.D. Robb books, have you?
I go away for an hour or two and see what happens! Welcome, Don, A, Ala and Renee. Such a diverse group of people. I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do.
I know Sherry. It is great to have such a diverse group. I hope to see all of you participating. Welcome aboard.
Hi all! My name is Casey and I currently live in Massachusetts. But, in a mere 86 days and counting I will be moving to Kentucky (Florence to be exact). I absolutely adore reading! If given the chance I'd probably spend my entire paycheck on books. I read whenever I can and love to explore new authors and genres. I am glad to have found a group like this and look forward to having discussions with everyone here!
Hi guys. I'm Camille. I would like to join discussions and meet new friends and it looks like Constant Reader is a good group for that. Hope to discuss and share (from movies to stories to books) with you peeps. Have a great day! :)

I think I love her so much because of her great character development. Her J.D. Robb books I do like but not as much. I think I'd have to start at the beggining to really get into it and then I'm sure I would love it. I do LOVE the futuristic feel to them and the many inventions she comes up with. You should give one a try. They are much different than her romance.
Hi,I'm Hend live in Cairo.I love books of all types.I am looking forward to discussing books. Some of my favorite authors are William shakespear,Charlotte bronte,Charles dickens.
I love seeing all of these new members! Welcome to all of you. We're always glad to have new contributors.
Hi all, I'm Shawn. I am currently a stay at home mom of a two year old. Reading is my third first love after my husband and son. I'm looking for a place for active discussions and I think this may be it.

Welcome, Shawn. The beauty of the internet is that you can discuss books with us whenever you have a few minutes, no babysitters!

Hello Everyone. I'm an author, but an avid reader. My kindle is the best thing that ever happened to me. lol. I'm in Australia, and read every night. I love contemporary romance, romantic suspense, rural romance, suspense with romance, and romantic thrillers.
I also love Nora Roberts novels, Karen Robards, CJ Lyons. There are so many good authors out there that's there's too many to list.
Thank you for having me. :)

Good . I am a neophyte to goodreads. I am also a newly published author. I am a native or Washington, D.C., but currently reside in Atlanta, Ga. My experience has been great on Goodreads thus far and keeps getting better.I'm a struggling author attempting to navigate my way through the merky waters of discovering an audience. I hope everyone bear with me as I attempt to pick your brains for suggestive tips and comments.
I'm not limited to just talking about my novel. I've done extensive reading in the past, but most of my readings lately have been in the Action/ Crime Mystery genre. My favorite author is James Patterson. He captured me with the Alex Cross series.
I'm from Washington, D.C. and actually graduated from the High School Alex Cross attended. Yes; it is actually a real High School as most of the places are he discusses in the series. As you can see I love to write. Let me just say; I apprecaite this venue and look forward to utilizing you, goodreads and sharing my experiences in publishing with you. You get a chance to be a part of an author's experiences from book one!
I also have a blog I would like for you to check out. Let me know if any of you have had the same experience?
Thanks Again.

If you want to ask questions or pick our brains, please start a new thread in either the Constant Reader folder, or the Salon. Good luck with your writing.

I'm not published yet because I haven't finished my first draft yet but I would also love to pick your brain about the getting your book published. I will check out your blog as well.
Hello, I am a short story writer in my native language i.e. Telugu. I am also a playwright, stage actor and director.I am new to your group.
Welcome from me to all the new people too! Sajo, I took the liberty of looking at your profile and you've been reading a lot of books that I want to read. Mortality by Christopher Hitchens, in particular, has been on my list for a while.
Hello! I'm an avid reader and aspiring writer (hopefully for novels and maybe television, some day).I've been looking for a group to join on Goodreads for ages but all the ones I could find seemed to be very negative and unpleasant. I was very glad to find this one, because it seems so much more peaceful than the rest. :)
I hope all the influx of new members will jump in and enjoy the wide variety of interests in this group. It is nice to see the group growing into a truly international group.
