Hi, I'm Pam and I live in southern New Jersey. I always have several books going at once and am trying to remember the books I've read to add to my list - a herculean task! Can anyone help with this one? The novel was about a female reservist with a husband and family who was deployed and lost both her legs in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan. Her best friend died and it was about her struggles, both physical and emotional, upon returning home. Name and author please??? Thanks.
Can someone tell me how to write a book review. I clicked on the top left han coner if book image. I was able to rate it but not review it. New and need help. :)

Right under the rating option is a link: add a review. Click on that and a box will open where you can type. I hope this helps.
Hi there! my name is Angel and I live in Central Pennsylvania. I'm 36 years old and I'm married with a daughter. I read just about anything. I love getting and giving suggestions for new books. Have a great day everyone!
Carol wrote: "Gayle, we have a short story thread here, look it over also the poetry section. Welcome to you and Kay."Thank you, Carol, I will take a look at the short story threads.
Hi, all.My nickname is Stina. Like Angel, I live in central Pennsylvania. And, like Simon, I also love Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go. Other favorite authors are E.L. Doctorow, Mark Helprin, and Margaret Atwood.
It's always sad when I read a great book but have no one to discuss it with. So I'm glad to have found Goodreads and Constant Reader.
Hi. I am very, very new, in many ways. I am also one of those folks whose TBR piles regularly come crashing to the floor when one more book is placed on the top. And yet ... I keep adding. Looking forward to "Mr. Penumbra .." in June.
Hello,My name is Deniz, and I have been dying to discuss books with people. I've almost always been around with people who don't read much, so I have always been in my own little world, reading and cherishing many stories that are given to me. I am also new to Goodreads, so hopefully I'll be able to figure things out pretty quickly. I really look forward to discussing Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore with everyone! =)
Hello, I just joined this minute. I was drawn in by the kind and literate written introduction to the group.I have an epic on a young family up on the web on a site that was built for me by the Horton Foote Society. Mr. Foote was the screenplay writer, of course, for To Kill A Mockingbird, and often encouraged young writers.
I teach college and can't visit here every day but look forward to joining the discussions. The tone seems very welcoming. Thank you.

I absolutely love reading books. I am in the process of completing my first novel. I just finished reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown and can't wait to read Inferno.
Welcome to all of our new members! I am and continue to be crazy busy at work, so I haven't greeted you individually. However, I hope you know that we love having new contributors here.
I am an English/Creative Writing teacher in the latter part of my career. Because my students don't always share my love of language and literature, I am looking for a place where I can have friendly and intelligent discussions about books, writing, ideas, life, love and whatnot! I am from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada - a city they call the Paris of the Prairies!
Hi :)I'm Alex.
I love reading all kinds of books. I'm currently reading through some of the books on the 1001 list. I've discovered many favourites on there!
There seem to be so many wonderful like-minded book lovers in this group!

Hi, I'm Dorie. I belong to a local book club but like to read more variety. Will probably read the odd book on the Constant Reader list in between what I read for other book club and a lot of stuff on my own.
Hi! I am Kristina from Slovakia and I love reading, especially in English. I am looking forward to our discussions. :)
Hi, I'm Jane R. I'm a retired librarian of nearly three years and love to read; reading has always been a great source of joy. My favorites are historical fiction, especially Rome. But I am eclectic in my tastes--depending on mood. I may not post much, but I enjoy reading others' opinions and suggestions.
Hi, I'm Ellie, I just wanted to say hello. I'm an author, but I'm also an avid reader who reads novels (general and crime fiction mostly) and quite a bit of non-fiction. I particularly enjoy a good biography.
Hello everyone, my name is Cedric. I hail from Brooklyn NY. I'm a paramedic who has spent my fair share of time with my nose in a book. I honestly have a passion for writing as well. Glad to have join this site to see all the interesting personalities.
