I just finished Into the Dark: A Novel of Suspense
.If you like mystery/suspense novels be sure to check this one out. It is due for release in late January.
I just finished Princess in Disguise
. This was a prelude novella. This book is due out in early February. It's about a hundred pages long. It was short but sweet.
I finished
Hope to Die. Another good episode in the Matthew Scudder series. I liked the two different viewpoints in this one.
I've finished Sacrificial Magic
by Stacia Kane, Paradise Hops
by Liz Crowe, Some Girls Bite
by Chloe Neill and The Reluctant Countess
by Wendy Vella. I enjoyed all of them!! I'm having a great start to the new year.
I just finished Into The Dark
by Stacy Green and really liked it. I also finished The Final Detail
by Harlan Coben, another solid story in this series, a real turning point, though, for Myron.
I'm on a historical and paranormal spree this month and loving it, I'm just starting Night After Night by Kathryn Smith , loved book one in the series, so fingers crossed for this one
I just scarfed books 1,3,4,5 of the Hathaway series by Lisa Kleypas
Rainshadow Road of the Friday Harbor series by Lisa Kleypas
Duke and I from the Brighterton series by Julia Quinn
I really enjoyed these books -- loved the banter with the Hathaway siblings and then the banter with the Brighterton siblings.

[bookcove..."ALL of them are some of my most favorite books!
I just finished reading
by William Peter Blatty. The Exorcist is an engrossing, gripping, disturbing and well-written supernatural tale. I really enjoyed this novel. I thought the author's writing style was excellent. I found it very hard to put this book down for long. I just had to know what happened next even though I've seen the movie half a dozen times! It didn't frighten me to death but it did scare me a good bit! Even though the book is over forty years old, except for a bit of seventies slang here and there, it really isn't dated at all. The Exorcist is one of the best horror novels that I've read in a long time. Even if you've already seen the movie a hundred times I'd recommend reading the novel as it's a lot better than the movie! My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I just finished the first 6 books from the Fallen Angel Series by Mary Jo Putney. I enjoyed them a lot. Some more than others but overall great action thriller and gothic themes that MJP manages to pull off.

Print. Did you listen to this one in audio?
I've finished reading
by Jamie Ford last night. I really loved this book! Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet is a beautiful, fascinating, tender and moving story from beginning to end. Like the title suggests, the story is such a bitter-sweet tale, heartbreaking at times and so warm and sweet in others. All the characters were vivid, well-developed and realistic. I really loved the characters of Henry, Keiko and Sheldon, and really cared about what happened to them. I found it really hard to put this novel down and I look forward to reading more from this author! I gave this novel 5 Stars! My full review is here:

Now I'm a few chapters into
by John Steinbeck.
I finished listening to
and really liked it. This series reminds me of Harry Potter in that as the series continues it begins to get more detailed and absorbing. It grows with the reader. I also finished
by Anne Barton - this is the first in a series by a new author. It was really enjoyable.
I finished
but was not as absorbed in the story as the first book. I think that might be because it's been a while since I read first book.
I finished A Daring Deception and totally loved it. Intrigue and female agents.
I also finished my first book in my foray with NetGalley and totally loved that book too... Maya Bank's second novel in the Montgomery and Armstrong series, Highlander Most Wanted. Tortured heroine in feudal Scotland. Banks really pulled it off especially with the emotion turmoil.
I just finished The Spy's Bride
and The Wicked Lover
I was disappointed with The Spy's Bride but did enjoy The Wicked Lover though the cat and mouse action dragged and the last half of the book happened too quick.
I just finished reading Edge of Dawn, the 11th book in the Midnight Breed series. I almost gave up on the series but glad I was able to get an advanced copy of the book. It was really good. I was so engrossed, I couldn't put it down.
I just finished the first in a new-to-me cozy series Murder in Store
. I loved the male perspective in this one.
I've been away too long but have read some really good books. I finished the second book in the Impulse m/m contemporary romance series, Acceleration
by Amelia C. Gormley. I can't wait for the third book in the series. Both books are reviewed on The Book Nympho blog today.
Others I've read the last two weeks include
, my first in the series. I liked the story and I'm still trying to adjust to the main character, Lucas Davenport. I also read the sixth book in the Myron Bolitar series, The Final Detail. It was great and Myron is evolving.
I also read Overheard by Maya Banks, one of her erotic novellas. Classic Maya!
I'm trying to go back and read Kristan Higgins' entire bibliography as she's become a favorite. I recently finished Just One Of The Guys
and cannot remember laughing out loud and crying so much in the same book.
Lastly, I read the next book in Brenda Novak's Whiskey Creek series,
When Summer Comes, and loved it. If you haven't started this series and like contemporary romance you should consider adding this to your shelf. I finished listening to an older title by Linda Howard, All the Queen's Men
, the second book in her CIA'S Spies series and really enjoyed it.
