I'd say it depends on how much you like her/ how much you want to be friends with her again. She obviously doesn't value your friendship much if she ignores you for 3 months! Don't let her use you.

If I was in your position, I wouldn't want to be friends with her again.
If she cuts you out of her life just because her boyfriend told her to, she obviously doesn't care much about the friendship.
If she's dumped you because her boyfriend told her to, it's most likely going to happen again. :(

I had a similar problem at school with 3 'friends' it sucked.

Because it's not a solid ending. We're left to try and guess what happens. its irritating.

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I can't decide what to read next. Due to my "bring down unread books"-challenge, I feel kind of guilty when reading in my kindle. I just have so many ARCs! Can someone help me decide, please? :P

message 4763: by Patrícia (new)

Patrícia (patriciapecegueiro) Hey everyone!

My name is Patrícia and I was hoping to ask you guys for a favour. I’ve been book blogging for the past 5 years, I’m an avid reader of YA fiction and I’m also a postgraduate student on the MA Publishing Studies course at City University London. I’m currently undertaking a research project about the growth of YA fiction and YA communities (like GoodReads!) and I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind answering a small survey about this topic. It would help me tremendously and I would be extremely grateful.

The questionnaire won’t take more than 5 minutes to complete and all data collected will be treated in strict confidence, used for scientific purposes only.

Here’s the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1p6xL...

Thank you so much, in case you’re able to help! And sorry for invading like this!

I often go by what is shortest/longest. Or what will be published next. So I read the next ARC to be published, and then a book from my TBR that is short.

message 4765: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Hmm, yeah, maybe I should do arc-tbr-arc-tbr etc. That'd be a good way to solve my problem for a while haha :)

I have a question. Can I use my mobile charger to charge my kindle? They fit each other, and I can charge both devices on my computer, so can I use my regular charger for my kindle? I hope you get what I mean! :)

I know a few people who use their phone chargers for that, and my uncle is always using my kindle charger to charge his phone with, so it should work. :)

message 4772: by Tati (new)

Tati my iPad charger charges my iPhone, my Kindle, and, obviously, the iPad. You just have to be careful with the Amperes (check them both to see if they match)

Yikes! Took me ages to add 300 reviews when i started a bloglovin blog, so i can imagine it takes ages if you have to translate them as well!

message 4774: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments @Abbie + Tatiana - I've done it now thanks :) Asked in a kindle group as well. Much easier than to bring my laptop on vacations lol

@Abbie - Yeah, and it's not that I don't know how to write in English, it's just so much harder to translate a piece of text! I have not idea why lol. But well... I'm through #, A, B and halfway through C... So I'll get there eventually lol

Hanna Mata (hkrivin1) I asked for a Kindle for my birthday, which one should I get? The Fire or the Original? Any recommendations?

message 4776: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
Depends where you want to read it. You can do more with the Fire, but it's not very good for reading outside when it's sunny!

message 4777: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Hanna wrote: "I asked for a Kindle for my birthday, which one should I get? The Fire or the Original? Any recommendations?"
I like my Paperwhite. They don't sell Fire to my location, so I didn't have much of a choice. But I think I'd get distracted with the Fire, because it seems like it's more of a tablet and so I'd just watch movies and stuff instead :P

Auch! I was cooking dinner - rice pudding - when it suddenly started to go "poof" and landed on my hand. And, just to be clear, it was boiling. Need I say that it hurts??? Don't try that at home!

Amy | 2535 comments Hanna wrote: "I asked for a Kindle for my birthday, which one should I get? The Fire or the Original? Any recommendations?"

I love my kindle fire but I haven't had a original before. I'd say it's definitely more of a tablet though and I much prefer physical copies of books. I mostly use it for buying stuff on Amazon and listening to music. I'd say if your looking for a tablet definitely try it! But maybe not just for reading. :) Hope I helped.

message 4779: by Tati (new)

Tati I guess it depends on how portable you want it to be, Hanna.

I don't know if the Kindle Fire and the iPad are similar in size, but the iPad is not as easy to carry around as the Kindle Paperwhite. As I read everywhere and anywhere, being able to have it with me at all times made me choose a Paperwhite.

message 4780: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
The fire is only a little bit bigger than the paperwhite to be honest, it is a bit fatter though. There are loads of distracting apps available though. I read on mine constantly though ☺

message 4781: by Abi (last edited Aug 19, 2014 10:37AM) (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments I have a paperwhite and a fire.
There's not much difference between them in size, but they have different pros/cons.

The fire is great if you want to access the internet, or have different apps, while the paperwhite/original are purely for reading use.

The fire isn't great to read on if you want to read outside on a sunny day because of the reflection, whereas, the paperwhite has no reflection at all.

The paperwhite is better to read on at night, as the light isn't as hard on the eyes as the fire.

You can have collections on the paperwhite, so you can sort your books out better, but that isn't available on the fire.

you should put the name of your blog in the 'link title' and then the URL of your blog as the link. so 'Book Addict' http://bookwormclara.blogspot.fr/
Is that what you did?

message 4786: by B.B. (new)

B.B. | 13 comments Paperwhite if you are going to use it to read. The fire is more designed for apps and movies. I love my Paperwhite! My husband hated that I would leave the light on at night when I wanted to read in bed. He ended up getting me the Paperwhite for Christmas and it works like a charm! He isn't disturbed by the glow from the kindle and I have enough light to read. The glow on the PW is adjustable too.

I was contacted by an UK publisher - they're sending me The Heart of Two Worlds (Oksa Pollock, #3) by Anne Plichota for review!!! This has never happened to me before! I mean, I'm Danish and review my books mainly on my Danish blog. I was so close to tears! That book is my most anticipated release of the year!

Did it drive you crazy?! The whole time I was reading it the only thing I was thinking was SPACE I NEED SPACE! Although the concept of the book and the situations the characters were put in were interesting and pulled me in to read. America was my favorite character.

Oh it did, it did. And you know, what's driving me even more crazy is the fact that so many people think he's so ''dreamy'' and '' the perfect boyfriend'', inclusing the actor (at least, from what I've read in her interviews). You know, you like the book. Fine by me. You like Travis as a character fine by me. But don't tell me that it's the kind of guy you would want in real life, no matter how ''hot'' and ''protective'' he is.

But that's just my opinion, sorry for the rant. BD bring out the worst in me sometimes!

I totally agree with you! I would never be able to deal with someone like that. I was like as soon as he met Abby he suddenly couldn't function anymore with out her. I didn't understand that. The book defiantly did not meet standers the hype was setting for it. I also found it a little funny that the only person that see that the relationship was unhealthy was Abby's roommate that she barely saw!
