I hate blog tours like that. it really annoys me when they send me the material 6 hours before it has to be up (and I'm asleep) I haven't signed up for any for ages because it was really annoying me.

This might be weird but what's a blog tour?
it's a virtual book tour. so basically a blog tour will last for around 2 weeks or more, and on each day a different blog (or maybe 2 or 3) will have a review of the book on tour as the top post, or a piece written by the author, or a giveaway or something. It's basically a way to publicise a book, and there are loads of different people who do them. some organisers are good, and some not so good.
Sounds interesting and kinda fun.

It tends to be a good way to get review copies, but it isn't always worth the hassle!

However, it decided to update last night, and now, I can't get it to show the time left in chapter when I tap the top of the page. Instead, it shows me something called 'loc', which I can't figure out. Does anyone has a solution for this?

Welcome back Mishma! :D

loc is just 'location' ie - how far into the book you are, which is originally the only measurement the kindle's did. Is it just happening on one book or all of them? i sometimes find that some books don't have the chapters marked properly, so the kindle will only tell me time remaining for the whole book, and location, not how long left in the chapter.

Oh, i had this problem a few months back. It was driving me insane!
For the the Collections do this:
There's things in the right hand corner (in the same line as where it says "Cloud/On device" The first one has to be "My items" and the second ha to be "Collection" Just click on the line to change it to that.
I can't remember how i got my progress back on. Will have a look to see if i remember!

Go into any book, press the top to get the menu up. Click the three lines in the right hand corner, then click "Reading progress" Then you choose what you prefer. (Location in book, Time left in chapter, Time left in book or none)

Do you know how can I delete books from the cloud? I find it annoying that books I delete from the device still show up in the cloud. And no, doing that via Amazon doesn't work...
I have no idea. the only way I can delete stuff from the cloud is to log on to amazon, go to 'manage my kindle', and delete stuff that way. I haven't found another way to do it.

They should still show up in the cloud. it confused me the other day because they've changed it, but you have to change one of the little drop down lists to 'docs' for non-amazon purchased books to show up.

The backlight is really good, and doesn't hurt my eyes at all. The pages turn really quick, and being able to make collections is really useful. (You can't make collections on the kindle fire. Not sure about the others.)
I'm not sure how well the GR button on them works though, because i have the previous generation one.
