Okay! Thanks!!
Hi guys!!! I just finished reading the 18th book in the Alex Cross series, the KILL ALEX CROSS. Im starting to read David Levithan's Two Boys Kissing! ☺ will continue reading the Alex Cross series after i finished the Two Boys Kissing. ;) #randomshare ☺
Just finished a movie about a child who got locked in the toilet the day summer vacation started. It is also a true story and I can not stop crying now!! :'(
I'm guessing he died. I don't think you'd last long locked in a bathroom without food? I don't know.
it's a classic movie....almost everyone has seen it. I have too, when I was a child (the movie was released in 1980). yes, he died. he even tried to eat his shoes, he was so hungry. it was an accident, but if the doorman was careful, the child may have been rescued.
this is the movie that made my mom tell me everyday, "never go to the toilet alone." I guess the director thought if a movie like this were made, then people will be more careful.
sounds like a terrible film. glad I've never seen it. I hate depressing films and books. I probably wouldn't want to get out of the bed the next morning after watching that.
it is depressing, that is true. but everything else about it is beautiful. the child actor won numerous awards for the character.it is a Bengali flim, and we are making English subtitle for it. I guess I'll end up watching it couple more times.....:-/
I'm so disappointed with The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. It was waaaaaaaaay different from the book. Why oh why Peter Jackson :(
Really, Rachmi? It's been so long since I last read the book that I'm not sure I'll be able to catch the differences. On another topic, I finally have my Kindle, and I'm quickly falling in love with it :)
The Hobbit is one of my favorite book and I reread it before I watched Desolation of Smaug so I still remember it. Actually the movie itself was awesome and the actors were great, it was just the story line that I'm disappointed. In some part it was way different I can't understand why Peter Jackson did it. I did enjoy watching it, but am not satisfied. I want to watch it again, though, since I didn't quite consentrate to the story because it was confusing and annoying me with the difference :) This time I want to just enjoy it and take what Peter Jackson did :DYay.....a new Kindle, now you can read anytime at anywhere. Is it your early Christmas present? :)
My cousin and I watched it yesterday (the funny twist was that it was dubbed in Italian and since I don't understand the language, I just watched the graphics. Besides, it was 3D! :) AND I haven't watched the first movie. So, yeah, rock on), and she said it was better than the first one. Guess I need to read the books and watched the movies. :)
That sucks about the Hobbit... I'm planning on watching it some time this week.As for the Kindle, it was my birthday+ Christmas gift. I'll have to travel today, and I'm definitely taking it with me.
@Matthew: The Hobbit is a stand alone book and it isn't a thick book. I think I I see the movie from the CGI, cinematography and other technical things, it's indeed better than An Unexpected Journey. 80% of my friends love it so yeah....it's a great movie :) Despite the story line, I love the way Peter Jackson interpret Smaug. It's the best dragon I've ever seen :D@Tatiana: Don't let my opinion change your plan to read it. It's still a watch worthy movie, though. And I'm curious of your thought. I think eReader is the best gadget invension so far. It's so useful when we have to take a trip.
@Tatiana: Oh, alright. Though I still need to watch the first film. :)@Rachmi: I love dragons. And I agree. Smaug is just one the best. :) I think I'm going to read it soon. :)
Thanks, guys! :)
Why is it so hard to find a christmas song on the music channels? all I seem to find is freaking x-factor winners and christmas number ones that are really not christmassy :(
In the Philippines, every morning (from the beginning of Ber Months) in this one radio station, they will play Christmas songs from (if I'm not mistaken) 6am to 10am. So, the spirit of Christmas is present, I guess.Advance Merry Christmas, everyone! :)
How many is the maximum? I think we're only allowed 2 ebooks and 12 hard copies. I'd have trouble finding 12 though!
advanced Merry Christmas, everyone!! I, of course, will be dealing with finals again!! :/ who invented exams? he should be hanged!! :@ :@
I'm lucky if i can get one from my library! I have more books in my personal library than they do in YA / everything else but kids books.
Kids books are the only section they have loads in.
Last time i asked if they could order the first one to a series in (When they do get books, it's always second in series, or book 10 in series, it's ridiculous) they got really bitchy to me and told me "We don't order books because one person asks. Where do you think we get the money from for all these books?"Okay, fair enough.. but if you haven;t got the budget to buy many books, why do you get so uptight, and refuse books that are in great condition, that i'm offering you?
My dad used to order books in at the big library where he lives. I think it used to be about £1.75 a book, but since he got a kindle its cheaper to just read books on the kindle rather than paying for them from the library.
It really annoys me that the library won't accept donations when they have pants books. And I know what you mean about books in a series. Our library has
, but not the first two books.

They have book 10 in the morganville series but none before / after that. That was actually the last book they got in for YA.

Merry christmas Mei! My stomach will defiantly be full, haha!
Merry Christmas to you too! I still have half a day until Christmas, and I'm really looking forward to it. :-)
PulseIt has a special thing going on throughout December where they feature one book each day for members to access for that day only. So, I'm pretty sure you can't still read the one that was available yesterday.
