Not really. The last time I traveled abroad was 2012, when I hopped around London, Brussels and Amsterdam.

I know right? :D I was in Berlin, Lübeck and another small German town last year. My mom always says that you should travel before you get kids and stuff, so...that's what I'm doing! ;)

Yeah, I've been to Berlin twice (have family there, so I don't need to stay at hotels, which is very budget-friendly LOL)

Now I really want to go to those three cities (Prague, Vienna and Budapest), but I'm going crazy trying to plan it

Yeah, I hate planning trips like that, I usually leave it to boyfriend to do :P I just mention a couple of things I'd like to do. Are you going by yourself? :D
(Although with Paris, I have to admit, I have everything planned already ;) )

Yeah, I'm going by myself, as no one else has vacations at that time.

So much to figure out, flights, where to stay, train passes... And, of course, the money issues

It's more that my anxiety kicks in whenever I feel any kind of numbness :/

Aaaaah. You could try gas sedation (I used it when I needed local anesthesia, and it worked like a charm)

I'm on a diet too, my new scales are crap though. I wieghed myself the other day and I was fat. got off the scales, put on my jeans, belt, jumper, and picked up my kindle - I'd lost 1.6 pounds! How many kindles do you think I need to hold to be skinny? Shit scales.

I'm starting to get really annoyed with all the BRs where people never show up. I can deal with people not wanting to read the book anymore, or if they're sick, made other plans etc., as long as they just tell me in the thread or PMs or whatever. Ugh, I'm just so annoyed right now.. /Rant over

I feel your pain Irene!! It's so annoying when people don't reply. I always try to PM people before we're due to start, then I can read other stuff instead of whatever I was going to BR if they don't reply

Yeah, and then I go to see Wanted thread and see people searching for buddies two months ahead and I'm like "dude, you don't even show up if we plan two days ahead!" (I don't know if it's the same people, it's just the feeling :) ). Maybe I should start to take notes on who I'm reading what with when, so I can PM them as you do..

It can get annoying when you don't hear anything at all! I wish we could do more about it.

The messaging beforehand is a good idea. It might just have been that they forgot, so the message will remind them. But if they don't reply, then you know they probably won't participate in the buddy read, and you can read something else.

I just make a note of who hasn't turned up, if they miss 3 with me then I don't offer to buddy read with them anymore.

I just got sick of people not turning up, and it's usually the same culprits. I pick them up when I'm going through old threads, I'll find up to 10 threads, all started by the same person, and none of them actually used.

Omg you guys, I just got the title as 'editor' on a new Danish publishing company!! It's on a voluntary basis and so I don't get paid for it, but still! This is the beginning of a dream come true <3
