Imagine zombies are chasing after you. I'm sure that would get you running, haha!

I have to bribe myself to do all sorts of things. Cleaning bathrooms and doing the ironing definitely need bribery.

message 5254: by Tati (new)

Tati I think there is even an app that kinda does that, it's called Zombies, Run!

You play a game while you're running, "collecting" ammunition and other stuff to build your zombie-safe base. If you enable the GPS function while using it, you can even be chased by zombies

message 5255: by Tati (new)

Tati Sarah, I don't mind doing the ironing, except when it's like 35°C (as it is now)

Tati It's so hot here that I've had to resort to wearing wet t-shirts to be able to sleep

I have 2 quilts and a fleece blanket on my bed and I'm still cold. It was supposed to be -15 degrees here sunday night! the road turned white with the frost.

Ok, now THAT's cool! I'll have to check that out!

As for why, well, I have to show my parents new dog at a show in July, and since it includes running around for up to one hour, I have to be sort of fit :P

@Sarah Same here. I'm so cold!

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments Thanks :)

message 5265: by Tati (new)

Tati Is it a regular dog show or is something like schutzhund?

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Tati wrote: "Is it a regular dog show or is something like schutzhund?"

It's a regular one :) Eventually like schuhtzhund as well though :)

message 5267: by Tati (new)

Tati And what breed is the dog? German Shepherd?

message 5268: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Yep. Why? (:

message 5269: by Tati (new)

Tati Just curious, as German Sepherds are usually the ones that do Schutzhund. I like them, though I don't think I'd be able to have one yet (I'm still too soft to handle them, if that makes any sense)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Have been wondering for a while now, how you knew, but I guess my profile picture gave it away lol
Hmm maybe? I started when I was 13, but I had my parents to help me out of course :)

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments Does anyone know of a good Kindle? I just got the new Fire HD 6 and its freezing up and not shutting down all the time and only comes with 4GB instead of 8. So I need a new Kindle or any device/tablet.

Kindle fire's always come with less memory than it says, as it comes already programmed with a few things. It tells you on the "Technical details" bit how much space it actually has available. With 8gb yu get 4.5gb, with 16gb you get 11gb. Shame it's freezing though! Have you tried rebooting it?

I have the kindle fire HDX, and it's a really good tablet. I also have a kindle paperwhite, which is really good for reading on. The adjustable light is really handy. :)

Yes I have it's currently off right now but it shuts down by itself. And when it freezes I have to reboot it and i haven't told my mom because she would take it back.

I'm thinking about buying the Kindle Fire HDX the 64gb one for college but I probably will need it now.

Have you used all the memory? I've heard that if there's no free space at all, or very little, it can go really weird.

I had the 32gb, and i got about 26gb of space. I still have about 18gb on it, but i don't put many books on there since i mainly use my paperwhite for that.

I'm not sure I'm going to check though I should have at least a 1GB left or maybe more. Well it says I have 3.36 GB used.

Thats pretty good. I need as many GB because dorms all small and I won't be able to fit a big book shelf. :)

Tati How old is it?

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments Tati wrote: "How old is it?"

Its about month and half

message 5278: by Tati (new)

Tati I think you should first contact Amazon, and see what they have to say and then make any decisions about getting another one

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments Tati wrote: "I think you should first contact Amazon, and see what they have to say and then make any decisions about getting another one"

Okay the thing is I got it from Kmart

message 5280: by Tati (new)

Tati I don't think it matters, Kmart must have gotten it from Amazon at some point. Amazon is the manufacturer, not Kmart. Either way, the worst that can happen is for Amazon to tell you to go to Kmart to get a new one in exchange for the faulty one you have.

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments Okay I think I will do that but either way I'm going to need something with more GBs for reading.

message 5282: by Tati (new)

Tati Even considering that you can store books in the Amazon Cloud Drive?

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments That is what I been doing with all my things.

message 5284: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
Yes, it doesn't matter where you got it from, contact amazon if it's freezing all the time. my original kindle did that, and they replaced it.
my kindle fire goes dodgy often as well. usually because i've got too many games and books and things on it. I'm really careful to delete stuff off of it now.

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments Okay I probably have too many review copies on there. I will contact them as soon as possible. I just deleted a lot of things off of there.

message 5286: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
I found with my kindle fire that it doesn't delete books that have been emailed to it correctly. if you click 'remove from device' it doesn't actually delete them. you then have to go to 'docs' and delete them in there too. the last time my kindle had a meltdown I found out there was 600 books on there that I had deleted that hadn't actually deleted, they were all still on there!

message 5287: by onceuponatimeareview (last edited Jan 21, 2015 07:47AM) (new)

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments WOW I should do that with the book I'm done with for reviewing and keep the others. I think this could be a major reason. Thanks for the help.

message 5288: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
I didn't get why it didn't delete them when you pressed 'remove from device' - i mean it sounds pretty self-explanatory. so why doesn't it remove them from the device? so annoying!

message 5289: by Tati (new)

Tati I have this issue with my Paperwhite. If the book is in a collection, I have to remove it from the device AND the collection, otherwise it still shows in the collection

Amy | 2535 comments Hi Heather, maybe try The Book Depository? If you don't mind shopping online. :)

message 5297: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments I tried there but they are extremely expensive

message 5298: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
You could get them from Amazon.co.uk, but shipping will probably make them as expensive or more expensive than the book depository.

message 5299: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments So I'm beta reading a book for a Danish and previously published author. The book is so good and yet I can't tell anyone about it! It's so annoying! I really hope this book will be published, just so I can talk to people about it!
