Blair wrote: "Not as clear as I thought then. Well it certainly isn't George Carlin :) "It never is. I've tidied up a bit and combined nine versions into Nietzsche and two into Carlin. The Staël is untouched.
The Carlin link only goes back to 1997 but in 2001 he published Napalm & Silly Putty and uses that quote again but this time he adds "—Anon." as the source so we can certainly rule out Carlin. The question is who to attribute it to. The Staël version is very different and none of the alternatives seem correct but it is a great quote and I would hate to see it removed.

Done. Again. 10 dupes & variants.

#670 done, and added italics to match my edition.
One UrgeI added a quote from my book One Urge. I put the name of the character who said it at the end, and Goodreads automatically put quotes around it when I posted it. This is wrong, so I rewrote the quote and took out the name. When you pull up One Urge, it shows both the original quote and the correct one. Could you please delete the one that has the word "Damon" at the end? It is the incorrect one. Thank you!
Scarlet wrote: "Ren wrote: "#672 done"Thank you very much."
I just looked and it's still there when you pull up my book. It's on the bottom right below the corrected one. Does it take time to appear corrected?

If you click on that quote it will say "Sorry, we couldn't find that quote". Book pages are cached and will take a while to catch up.

That quote is already on Goodreads, several times. It is by Charles Dickens. You should check to see if a quote exists before adding it again. I've removed your version.
Edited to tidy: here are two versions you might like

Sorry mike, I actually searched it before I added the quote and nothing came up (possibly spelly mistake...). Again, my apologies. Thanks

Combined those and another 3 variants.
Just a typo near the end of this one. Should be " I tell him" not " O tell him."https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1023...
Hallo! I've made a mistake adding this quote https//www.goodreads.com/quotes/list/27552959This quote is from "Pane e tempesta" by Stefano Benni and not from "Baol. Una tranquilla notte di regime"
This is the quote which has to be changed:"“Piovi pure, cielo nero, grandina,e tu,vento, soffiaci contro. Noi abbiamo sempre mangiato pane e tempesta.
E terremo duro."
Pane e tempesta”
― Stefano Benni, Baol. Una tranquilla notte di regime"
Thank you very much.
Yes, "Pane e tempesta" is the right titol. But the title has to be changed at the and, because I've add "Baol" for mistake. Can someone change "Baol" in "Pane e tempesta" or delate the title "Baol" at least?
Typo in this one.https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1023...
“I'm not trying to fix you; I don't think you need to be fixed. I'm not trying to turn you into someone else. I only want you to be who you already are. Because I think I know the real you. I think I've seen him."
Warner says nothing, his chest rising and falling.
"I don't care what anyone else says about you," I tell him. "I think you're a good person.”

Hello, the quote shown by the following link isn't the actual one, moreover it has a gramatical mistake. Please delete this quote. @banjomikehttps://www.goodreads.com/quotes/8039...
Hello Librarians,I recently noticed this quote on my page: "“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith”
― Anonymous
Number one, it is not anonymous. I believe it occurs in the New Testament. Number two, I did not put it on my page. Is it possible that someone else did without my permission? Number three, how do I get rid of it?
Thanks in Advance,
Robert
Robert, you liked that quote in Oct. 2013. If you unlike it, it will disappear from your page.

What is wrong with it? That quote has been liked so we should fix it rather than delete it.
@bajomike There should be a word "problems" instead of "problem". As you know according to grammar it's a Error of Continuity. So, fix it.
Please delete the following quotes :https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/859131

(I have actal forms of both the quotation and i'll add them later)
If someone knows the Urdu language then edit them, they have some grammatical mistakes.
Preferably delete them.

Again, someone has added it to their personal quotes so we should edit it and not remove it. If you post the correct text here we can edit it.

You edited the other quote shown below:

But its formats distorted. I appreciate your attampet but if you could delete it for me then it would be much better as it's my own quote and I know that language also

Since someone has added it to their personal quotes we edit it and don't remove it. You could add a new, correct version of the quote and I'll use that one.

Well known, but probably wrong. The earliest attribution of this quote to Nietzsche is from 2003. The earliest variant of the quote is from 1813, 31 years before Nietzsche was born. This is it, by Anne-Louise-Germaine de Staël:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1285...
it should be "...as we should at a ball, where we did not hear the music; the dancing that we saw there would appear insane."
