Ivory | 4 comments Hardcover because there is no more satisfaction when you finish the book than when you physically close the cover!

The Twelve Tribes of Hattie (Oprah's Book Club 2.0) by Ayana Mathis to-read

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe read Similar? This book was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

Jacqueline Bell Al-guweiri | 2 comments Hardcover so I can share with my mother who will not get an e reader.

message 403: by Bev (new) - rated it 5 stars

Bev I really thought I would always prefer a book - but now I prefer the e-reader (I don't have a tablet to compare to). I was running out of bookshelves anyway!

Karren | 3 comments Love reading on my iPad, but then again I love my iPad

Sandie | 2 comments ereader all the way!

message 406: by Cris (new) - rated it 3 stars

Cris (crisdempsey) | 9 comments Actually I read all of them. That way I always have a boom going. I have a book going currently on my iPhone, my iPad and a few real books. I do use my Nook Color but on my phone or iPad now. I haven't actually touched my nook in months.

Tiffany (moorereads1769) | 5 comments I'm a person who absolutely loves hardcover books, but about two years ago I bought myself a nook color...and truly have falling in love with it. One of the reasons is that the books are so readily available, you go to the bookstore and they may be sold out, and then you have to wait, but not with my nook, and I also love to read on my tablet as well, but being the seriously bookish girl that I am...I still haven't gotten totally away from hardcovers, some stories just read better that way.

message 408: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Byrd | 2 comments i was books until i purchased a nook color a few months ago. now i love the tablet more but still do both but prefer nook rarely go to the bookstore now, in fact many closing in my area.

Hardcover!!! I'm seeing Ayana Mathis later this month so I need something physical if she is signing books!!! :)

message 413: by Eileen (last edited Feb 15, 2013 01:24PM) (new)

Eileen | 1 comments Love the e-reader because I can increase the font and have instant access to the dictionary. Fits in my purse for any event or adventure.

Elizabeth Definitely e-reader, I find it to be so much more convenient. I can even use the apps on my phone so I always have my books with me!

message 415: by J.M.K. (new)

J.M.K. Walkow | 7 comments A novel, nice easy to read text, sitting on a shelf, anytime needed can touch open and look. A big screen, large letters, reading or editing is very cool. Searches of quotes, comparing multiple revisions, sharing it online not bad. Then a huge screen, together reading, commenting, stopping, smiling, feels like Valentine's Day every day.

message 416: by Thomas (new)

Thomas Hay (wwwthomaslhaycom) | 8 comments Nothing like the smell and feel of a book in the hand.

message 417: by Christopher (new) - added it

Christopher (whatagoodbook) | 2 comments I love my iPad. Reading on it had created an excitement for reading. I also read on my iPhone on the go and I have to tell you that retina display makes reading so much more enjoyable. I just need to update the iPad now. Does any else love the nighttime setting on the iPad as much as I do? I find the words so much easier to read black on white.

message 418: by Sam (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sam (moonandprairiebookshelf) I wish it were hardcover, but I'm a student and the lower price / convenience of my Nook for iPad app usually wins for casual reading. If the book is good enough I will buy the hard copy later though.

Marlene Johnson While I love the feel of a book, it's infinitely easier to have the e-version. I do find, however, that if I have both (and I do in many cases), that I'll read whatever's handy (typically the book), and then update my place on the e-reader. I get through them much faster this way....!

message 420: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (emtmelissa) My Nook!

message 421: by Sharon (new) - rated it 4 stars

Sharon (sassysoulsharon) | 4 comments As a lifelong reader, books are my ultimate choice. The tactile sensation of flipping pages is simply the best! Perhaps, one day I will capitulate and buy an e-reader. Admittedly, I'm induced by the free deals and the $3.99 downloads. But for now books, books and more books!

message 422: by [deleted user] (new)

I prefer a hard cover book, but it's much easier to get an ebook because I get it immediately, and most of the time the ebooks are so inexpensive.

message 423: by Jfingerlit (new)

Jfingerlit | 1 comments I love the feel of a hard cover book, though it does lead to clutter.

message 424: by [deleted user] (new)

Depends. At night in bed I want my e-reader. Daytime I love the feel of a hardback.

message 425: by Taylor (new) - added it

Taylor ereader!

message 426: by Charlene (new)

Charlene Intriago | 1 comments Most of the time it's a hardcover book, but an ereader works best when traveling.

message 427: by Orla (new)

Orla (orlaala) | 1 comments I love a mixture!

message 428: by Diane (last edited Feb 28, 2013 02:33PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Diane (dianedj) I love my books - hardcovers/paperbacks only for me. I agree that every now and then I feel the need to de-clutter and usually donate to the local library. Not too many though as it's hard for me to let go of my books.

message 429: by Julie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Julie (juliead) | 4 comments Love the feel of the books, but with my memory problems, have found the easy referencing I can do on my ereader to be essential. Also, when the arthritis is bothering, the ereader is much more comfortable. Ha, and I'm only 50 years young - lol!!

message 430: by Sudhan (new)

Sudhan Mahat (sudhanmahat) Cute Girl :)

Aneeshya Ambika Menon (readanddreamaway) | 2 comments I am not a fan of e reading, even though i carry my tablet everywhere. I am still a big fan of Hardcover/ Paperback. I feel awesome when i feel the beautiful words which are written on the paper, somehow it feels so personal. Joy of reading comes when you hold and feel the book.

message 432: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (emtmelissa) I posted earlier, but wanted to add to my answer. I had answered that I prefer to read on my Nook. My reasons? Cuts down on clutter...as I live in a small apartment, and if I had all all the books that I like to have on my Nook, my place would be a mess! Plus, the convenience of carrying all my books with me where ever I go and, lots of freebies, and the ability to highlight & makes notes as I am reading. At this point, I don't know how I'd live without it!

message 433: by Angela (new) - added it

Angela (angela_w) Hardcover!

message 434: by Sandie (new)

Sandie | 2 comments Melissa I feel exactly the same way about my Kindle....and add to the last the ability to read without glasses, and reading in bed so much more comfortably!!!!

message 435: by Kerry (new)

Kerry | 3 comments I have an iPad.....love it!

message 436: by Angela (new)

Angela Trucks (angela71) | 3 comments I own both... An e reader and a tablet are both great but just out of convince I use my tablet more cause everything is right there.

message 437: by Susana (new)

Susana Cunha (susanacunha) | 1 comments I love my Kindle. An since I have it, I even read more often than I used to.

message 438: by David (new)

David Lucero (httpwwwgoodreadscomdavidlucero) | 16 comments I prefer hardback and paperbacks. I know the kindle is here to stay and like everyone else, I'll probably find myself one day using it. But for me there's nothing like the feel of the book in my hands. Stopping long enough to place my bookmarker in the book while I have that sip of coffee in the morning. I can see advantages of the kindle when you're on the go and can't have a big book on hand. The kindle is small enough to keep in a handbag or notebook.

But I'm hooked on the old-style hard and paperbacks for life. My first published book, THE SANDMAN, is available in all three versions (hard, soft cover, and kindle). My second book, Who's Minding the Store? is available in paper and kindle versions.

I've read them in hard and soft, but have yet to try the kindle version. If you should my my books let me know your thoughts. I appreciate any and all feedback.Who's Minding the Store?

Larry Watson | 5 comments I prefer hardcover and ebook.

message 440: by Linda (new) - rated it 3 stars

Linda | 2 comments I prefer hardcover. I have a kindle and rarely use it. After a day of computers, smart phones, email, texting and instant messaging I find it relaxing to unplug and curl up with a good hardcover book.

We're with you there, Linda. Do you have a certain place in your house that you love to read in?

message 442: by Brooke (new) - rated it 5 stars

Brooke | 13 comments I also prefer hardcover. I have a nook color, but I still like to hold that book in hands .

message 443: by Michael (new)

Michael Allen | 1 comments I like the idea of digital readers. But, I can't give up on the print copy of the book and thumbing through the pages.

message 444: by [deleted user] (new)

I prefer all forms of reading. I read ebooks always on my e-reader. Of course I like paper books, too. ;) i don't care about the format. I care about the content. Because of this I listen to audiobooks, too.
E-magazines only on my iPad. More comfortable.

message 445: by Tisha (new)
