Since someone else is nominating a Lem book, I'll go instead with Definitely Maybe by the Strugatsky brothers.

that is an awesome book, Banner. one of my favorites. you should definitely read it - but can't really nominate it because it isn't scifi. any other nomination you want to make?

message 17: by David (new)

David Merrill | 66 comments A lot of great suggestions here, so I'll just second the nomination for Babel-17. I'd love to re-read that with a group. Delany is a favorite of mine.

message 18: by Banner (new)

Banner | 138 comments Mark I kind of thought that might be the case, but a saw a few "sci-fi" tags and gave it a try.

How about The Anubis Gates

Yeah, I guess that was a tad obvious, huh?
I just noticed the nomination of Definitely Maybe by the Strugatsky brothers. That'd be high on my list too.

message 22: by Mike (new)

Mike I'll second Memoria. Picked it up but haven't read it yet.
