Sorry,
I reposted as post # 915 with the correction added

Task 25.3, book B - REQUIRED: Include the letter count in your post, as in the examples.
Please repost this task with the required information.

Please read the Posting Requirements for the challenge carefully. You must include a link to the book (preferred) or the title AND author. It would also be extremely helpful if you separated your description from the book title/author. The way you've written it, I'm really having a hard time figuring out what you've read. Please repost your tasks with the required elements.

Task 25.3, book B - REQUIRED: Include the letter count in your post, as in the examples.
Please repost this task with the required information.

Task 10.7 -- Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination that Changed America Forever appears to be more about Lincoln's death and the people surrounding it than a biography, autobiography, or memoir of Lincoln. You'll need to ask Sandy if this book works for the task. If she says it's OK, please repost this task indicating that it was approved in the help thread.
Task 10.8 -- I don't see Flukes in post 1952 in the ebook verification thread. Point it out to me please, or repost this task with the correct information.

Task 20.5 -- There is No Dog will not work for task 20.5. The song title is "There's a Place." The task description states: "contractions in song titles must be contractions in t..."
Could I use it with the song title, I saw her standing there?

Could I use it with the song title, I saw her standing there? ."
That would work. Please repost it citing that song as the song you want to use.

Please repost this task with the required information.

Could I use it..."
Thanks, When I first looked at the titles I knew There's wouldn't work and then I noticed the other title but when I got around to posting, I chose the wrong title. I will repost as required

No problem. It happens... ;-).

Task 30.8 -- In order to claim A Dance With Dragons, you must read both parts of the book. A Dance with Dragons: Dreams and Dust alone will not work -- Challenge rule #7. Please repost this task when the entire book as been read.

Thanks, Sandy! I'll add your points in JennRenee. No need to repost 10.7.

Task 30.2 - There are 3 options for book A and 3 options for book B. Which options do your books fit? Please repost this task with the required information.

Task 10.1 -- The task description states: For the "first in a series" option, the book must be identified as such on GR. Which means that (Series Name, #) appears behind the book's title on its home page.
All Creatures Great and Small is not identified as #1 in the All Creatures Great and Small series. You will need to choose another book for this task.

Task 20.1 -- The Leap Year Boy appears to be a book that exists only in ebook format. eBooks with no print version must be verified for length in the eBook verification thread.
Here are the posting requirements for ebooks: If you claim a book in Completed Tasks that exists ONLY in ebook format, you MUST provide a reference to the ebook verification document when you post ex."Approved @ line #" or provide the post number in the ebook verification thread where it was approved ex. Please repost this task with the required information.

Task 20.3 -- For any option requiring a cover image, you must include the cover in your post. Here are directions on how to do so: Add book/author/cover
Please repost this task including the cover.
Task 30.7 -- I do not see how The Ultimate Life: A Novel fits option 1. Please repost this task with an explanation and all the other requirements.

Task 30.3 -- Option 5 is to read a book with "black" or "white" in the title or subtitle. Easy does not fit. Perhaps you meant option 6? Please repost this task with the correct option.

You've already claimed task 20.1 in post 566. Perhaps you mean a different task since you have option 5 listed in this post?

We must have been on the same wavelength.... ;-)

I just used that book elsewhere, sorry, I was trying so hard :)
I edited my posting from 1-14-13.
On 20.3 added picture of cover.
30.7 I made a mistake No 1 is now No 2.
Hope all is right now.lol

Shoot yes I changed to a different book, and forgot to change the option number on the spreadsheet I keep. Sorry about that.

Hi, Marguerite. Your cover for task 20.3 is not showing up. You also need to link to books and authors in your post and only repost the tasks that have problems.
Please review the Posting Requirements for the challenge and then repost only tasks 20.3 and 30.7. Please make sure you include book covers where required and links to all other books and authors.
You will also need to provide links to any Goodread authors you are trying to claim tickets for.
reposted 20.3 and 30.7 and all things added to these two shows up on my computer.

Post 1066 looks good as far as cover and links go, Marguerite, thanks.
In the future, if you could just put one summary of points this post, total points, books this post, number of GRA, number of BBs, etc. at the bottom of your post it would make it a lot easier and faster for the moderators to check your books. A summary is good information to have, but when we have thousands of posts to go through a summery after every book gets kind of cluttered and hard to wade through. Thanks!

Task 25.1 -- One Hit Wonder also appears to be a book that exists only in ebook format. eBooks with no print version. It needs a reference to the ebook verification document ex."Approved @ line #" or post number in the ebook verification thread where it was approved ex. "ebook Approved post #." Please repost this task with the required information.
Is this the info yo want (look below)? GRA is Goodread Author right?

The easiest way for us is if you set it up something like this:
Avid Reader -- Readerboard name
Task #5.9 - Comfort Read -- task # + short description
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon -- links to book and author claimed
853 pgs claiming Big Book ticket -- claim for big book (BB) ticket
Diana Gabaldon is a GRA -- claim for Goodreads author (GRA) ticket
This is a comfort read for me, because I know that I'll always enjoy her books and have a wonderful time reading them. -- explanation of how your book fits the task if explanation is needed
Points this post: 5 points
Total points to Date = 45 points
GR Authors: 27
Big books: 500+ (0); 750+ (1); 1000+ (1)
Any other information you'd like to keep for your records

God I have no idea what is wrong with me this week, sorry again. Geez I had it listed on the book above and on my spreadsheet I was looking at ugh.

Please see Kristi's post 195 above- you must specifically mention that you are claiming Goodreads Author or Big Book tickets when you post. Including that info in the summary is not enough- we can't tell what you are claiming as the summary builds. You must include links to the book and author when you post
To claim the tickets you will need to post another message in the Completed Task thread explaining that you didn't indicate the Goodreads author - include the previous post number, the task number the book was read for and the link to the book and author

So do I need to repost all the ones I did?

You need to claim the tickets- like this
Claiming Goodreads Author tickets from post 1017 (or the later post number if Kristi had you repost because of a problem)
task 20.3 A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas
task 20.8 The First Princess of Wales by Karen Harper
Goodreads Authors are idenitfied on the author's profile page in the upper right "Goodreads Author Profile", on a book page after the authors name (Goodreads Author) or on your bookshelves by an asterisk * after the author's name.
I can't tell from the summary, but it looks like you may have counted Yann Martel and Jane Austen and others as Goodreads Authors. Only the authors that are identified as "Goodreads Authors" (described above) are eligible for tickets

Two books by new to me authors found on Rose Tremain's Similar Authors list:
The Secret River by Kate Grenville
The Getting of Wisdom by Henry Handel Richardson
I hadn't read either of these two authors before and loved both books. I'm glad to have been introduced to this tool which I plan to use more in future.
