Winter Challenge 2012-2013: Completed Tasks with ?s/problems

Task 25.5 isn't Let's Be Different. I think you mean task 25.3. However, you're missing the REQUIRED: Include the letter count in your post, as in the examples. portion for book B.
Please repost this task with the correct task number and the required information.

Please list your completed tasks in numerical order from smallest to largest. This makes record keeping much easier. Thanks.

Please check your totals. I have you at 405 points instead of 420. Did I miss a task?

Please check your totals. I have you at 115 points rather than 125."
Kristi, thanks for picking that up.

Kristi,
I'm sorry.
I'm still coming up with 420 through post 588(which adding is not always reliable on my part). I'm posting my list of finished tasks with the post number in parenthesis.
5.7 (64)
5.9 (588)
5.10 (525)
10.2 (297)
10.4 (525)
10.6 (386)
15.1 (387)
15.2 (173)
15.3 (525)
15.7 (525)
15.8 (25)
20.1 (430)
20.4 (173)
20.5 (173)
20.6 (430
20.7 (57)
20.8 (173)
20.9 (297)
20.10 (430)
25.1 (297)
25.3 (588)
30.4 (219)
30.5 (388)
30.6 (525)
I show this as 15+30+75+160+60+90=420
I also noticed that in post 297 I didn't have the task number right for 10.2--I just had a 10 and task name.

Donna Jo, it looks like you are counting the two 25 point tasks as 60 rather than 50 points. Could that account for part of the difference?

Bea, I added them as 50, but can't type or proof-read. I need a (book)keeper.

Kristi,
I'm sorry.
I'm still coming up with 420..."
Thanks for listing all your tasks and post numbers, Donna Jo. I skipped right over 15.7 in post 525 and your listing made it really easy and quick for me to find my mistake. Totally my fault.... ;-) Now we both have the same total and our numbers should match in the next update. Thanks again!

Yay!!! I can understand how that happened--you guys have so many to track. I'm just amazed that my records were right for once.

I assume you're using option 1 for task 20.3? No need to repost this task, just confirm that this is the option you intended to use.
Also, Task 30.6 -- The Sweet Life appears to be a book that exists only in ebook format. eBooks with no print version must be verified for length in the eBook verification thread.
Here are the posting requirements for ebooks: If you claim a book in Completed Tasks that exists ONLY in ebook format, you MUST provide a reference to the ebook verification document when you post ex."Approved @ line #" or provide the post number in the ebook verification thread where it was approved ex. "ebook Approved post #"
Please get approval for the ebook and then repost this task with the required information.

Hey Kristi,
Yes, I was using Option 1 for task 20.3.
For task 30.6, I linked to the wrong copy of the book.I reposted the task with the hardcover edition in post #687.
Sorry for the confusion.

Hi, Joy. Welcome to the challenge!
There are a few things you need to do before we can get you on the Readerboard.
First, please read posts 1 & 2 in the Readerboard names thread and request a Readerboard name. Once your Readerboard name is established in that thread, please repost your completed task(s) in the completed task thread with your Readerboard name at the top of your post.
You may also want to read over the Getting Stated and Posting Requirements posts. They have a lot of valuable information that will help you get on the Readerboard as soon as possible! ☺

Please list your completed tasks in numerical order from smallest to largest. This makes record keeping much easier. Thanks.

Task 5.4 -- I don't see anything in the help thread indicating that elves will work for fairies. You'll need to check with DLMRose about that one. If she says it's OK, you'll need to repost this task indicating that it was approved in the help thread. Otherwise, you'll need to choose another book.

Task 30.9 - I assume you meant to post

No need to repost, but please confirm this assumption.

Task 25.3, book B - REQUIRED: Include the letter count in your post, as in the examples.
Please repost this task with the required information.

Task 30.2 -- You provided the link to ebook approval for book A, but book B: The Guardian's Soul also appears to be a book that exists only in ebook format.
Please get approval for this ebook and then repost this task with the required information.

Task 20.6 -- REQUIRED: State in your post the punctuation mark you chose.
Task 30.7 -- Required: if you choose a cover option please include the cover in your post

Ack! Sorry...

Task 5.8 -- I don't see the genres Apocalyptic, Post Apocalyptic, or Dying Earth on the main page of Crossed. Matched and Reached have Apocalyptic > Post Apocalyptic on their home pages. Did you mean to post one of those instead? If so, please repost with a link to the correct book.

Are you JeniR? If so, please repost these tasks with your Readerboard name at the top of your post.

Your total summary indicates 2 Goodreads Authors, but you haven't claimed any in your posts. To claim a Goodreads Author ticket you must specifically mention in your completed task post that a book was written by a Goodreads author.
To claim the tickets you may post another message in the Completed Task thread explaining that you forgot to mention the Goodreads author - include the previous post number, the task number the book was read for and the link to the book

Yes it was supposed to be Reached.Sorry I must have clicked on the wrong book and I will repost for task 5.8. Thanks Kristi. I must have been having issues because this book didn't even show up on my " read shelf" LOL I think it was an operator error!!

Please read posts 1 & 2 in the Readerboard names thread and request a Readerboard name. Once your Readerboard name is established in that thread, please repost your completed task(s) in the completed task thread.

Thanks for letting me know, Wendy. I haven't gotten to the part where I check totals, yet, so I'll just disregard that one when I get there. Thanks for making it easier on me by letting me know! ;-)

Task 15.5 -- Do you have a reference that shows Changeling as a 3 syllable word? If not, I believe The Changeling Sea only has 4 syllables -- The/Change/ling/Sea. And, therefore, would not fit if your name has 5 syllables.

You did't list a task number for the task you're claiming in this post but, from the description, I assume it's task 20.2, correct? No need to repost, just confirm this is the task you meant.

Task 5.7 -- Required: Please name the bird used when you post.
Please repost this task with the required information.

Sorry! You are absolutily correct it is 20.2, I spend so much time making sure I get everything I need in the post it is easy to miss the obvious.
Thanks for checking these for us, you do a great job!

Sorry Kristi! Now I know that not every audiobook has a print edition!

Task 20.5 -- There is No Dog will not work for task 20.5. The song title is "There's a Place." The task description states: "contractions in song titles must be contractions in the book titles." You will need to choose a different book for this task.

Task 5.5 -- You're still missing the posting requirement for Law Man. Please read the requirements below carefully and repost this task with the required information.

Task 20.1 -- Requires you to read an author's debut book, that is the first published stand-alone book written by any author.
Ready Player One is Ernest Cline's first novel, but he published a book called The Importance of Being Ernest in 2006.
