Muhammad Ahsen Tahiri (ahsentahiri) | 204 comments My name is Ahsen Tahiri and I live amongst you yet I belong to another world. My world, where my rules work and where I'm the king. Do I sound rude? Nah, I'm a good friend, and my country is the Love.

A medical student, and study Spirituality too. My interests include human psychology, true tales and fiction, fantasy.

Everything that relates to Allah, I feel curiosity about.

When my pains reach the hill top, a mysterious serene smile stretches across my face exotically that I myself don't know much about. Mysteries, the world is full of them. The greatest mystery you will find in this world is your own self.

-Dr Ahsen

Sadia Shahid Hey, Ahsen. Welcome to the group. I myself have an interest in spirituality. Thought I would start close to home so completed Sahi Bukhari, and now I have everything by Sir Muhammad Iqbal and Rumi. Translations.
If you come across anything that has a new or different approach to the subject, kindly do let us know.
Happy reading!

Muhammad Ahsen Tahiri (ahsentahiri) | 204 comments There are mainly 4 Goldlines of Islamic Spiritualism, almost all famous Saints come under any of them. Naqshbandiya, Chishtiya, Qaadriya, Suhrwerdiya. The Spiritualism means 'finding Allah through your own self/soul', but the topic is so lavish that your whole life and all acts comes under it. Eg, when you take an amble down a street, what ever do you see can be seen through your inward eye at an entirely different angle. When you put your heart's ears to what the bird says after it's entire day's hardwork of finding food? "I longed to find food for my body and ended up finding Allah'

There are 4 Goldlines (Salaasil) to Allah, under which infinitesimally lines run parallel and intersecting to Allah. You can take hundreds of lines at a time, to which Rumi ra says "Respond to every call that excites your spirit, because number of ways leading to Allah are more than the raindrops". But their are basic steps of each Goldline. I had studied all 4 since I was a child, from my Father and then notable Intellects.

Remember one thing, Islamic Spiritualism teaches love of all creatures, all humans regardless of their religions and sects. Because Love is a universal language. Huzur saww's treatment to even non muslims was lovely. But that doesn't means Spiritualism has no religion. Sufism has Islam it's religion, but respect for all other religions and beliefs.

Spiritualism's utmost goal is: 'purifying your heart and soul and finding your own self to find Allah'

If you save your soul and heart from wrong ways and you are persistent enough, you are certainly reaching your 'true home, your destiny, your own self' no matter how late.

What are the Steps of a Goldline, and which Goldline you want to follow is a topic beyond few words here. I can tell you books for them.

Islam itself covers everything in life. However, I personally feel that it is full of paradoxes. One of the most beautiful kind. The kind that brings a smile to your face when you realize how clever and beyond reach they are. I plan to explore and research as much as I can, but I feel one life time wouldn't be enough for it. So far I believe I have only come as far as life in general. Who am I? Why was I created? Am I meant to follow this cause or something else?

It saddens me that I haven't learned shit and time is flying. I'm a literature student, so it's hard enough keeping up with the literature all around the world. The least I want to do is have substantial knowledge before I start my master's in sociology. (A year and a half inshaAllah). So, yes, if you'd be so kind, do suggest me those which you think will serve as foundation.

Muhammad Ahsen Tahiri (ahsentahiri) | 204 comments You can't study all books, no one can I believe. This beautiful path, only we just walk on it and it's full of destinies. The curiosity of secrets that lie beyond small simple things. The long silent wait for Allah to see Him because He's the One you meet everyday, in your happiness and sadness, tell Him your feelings of your warm heart. Only He can understand you fully, no one else can, even you yourself. Your tears when you talk to Him. This is spiritualism about, refining your feelings of heart and soul. It's all about Love.

Foremost Books, in brackets:-

1.Hazrat Abdurrehman Jami ra (Jami, Haft Awrang)
2.Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi ra (Masnavi, Fi Ma Fihi)
3.Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Sani Shaikh Ahmed Sirhandi ra (Mabda o Ma'ad, Maarif-e-Ladunniya)
4.Hazrat Abu Saeed Farooqi (Hidayat-ut-talibeen)
5.Spiritual Tafseer e Quran (Tafseer e Mazhari)

ahsendlibrary.4shared.com and maktabah.org has all of them at one place
