Hello to all!I am Yusra, but prefer to be called Yus. Reading has always been a integral part of my life for as long as I can remember; in a way, it is what keeps me sane. That said, reading well-nigh blinded me (trust me, Myopia is NOT fun). On second thought, don't trust me, I am over-exaggerating my nearsightedness.
I am not prejudiced towards a certain genre, however, I like my fiction with a dash of fantasy -- keeps things interesting. Also, I am a HUGE George R.R. Martin fan. So if anyone here is a fan of ASoIaF series, hit me up!
University doesn't allow me the luxury to read as often as I'd like, so in an effort to read more, I'm currently doing a 24 books per year challenge.
That's it folks! I apologize for this wall of text. Whoops.
welcome to the group Yusra. i can see we have similar taste in books. i haven't read game of throne series but i have seen the whole season and it was good.
Welcome Safdr and Yusra. :) hope you enjoy it here ^_^

I don't get time to read either so I decided to cut down on my precious sleep and make time for reading. Totally worth it.

Welcome. Interesting blog. You sound like a bit of a lost soul. Maybe a poet/philosophical writer in the making.

hi Ahmad and Ayeza. welcome to the group :)
I see that you're reading City of Bones by Michael Connelly... How do u find the writer? And looks like you haven't read other of his other books
I found him okay, not very good but not very bad either.. I have read only a couple of his books
First was the The Lincoln's Laywer because when the movie came out, I saw that it was based on a book so I got myself a copy.
Then a friend of mine gave me The Brass Verdict on my birthday as a present. It was okay
Let me know what are ur views so far! :D
Actually what happened was I ordered it not looking into what it was and thought it was
it was only when I recieved it I realised I was wrong but still I started reading it. I hav'nt got very far yet but I'm rally liking it so far :)

It is truly wonderful to have found this group. I moved to America 12 years ago, but a part of me is still in Pakistan. I am wife, mother, doctor, but I had forgotten that I was a reader before I took on all these roles, so I am rediscovering the reader in me. Happy reading:)
