Sometimes during a semester it's hard to have a social life, get good grades, give 100% at work and an internship. Therefore one goes to the bottom of the list. But now that schools out for two months time I have fun outside the house and school.

THIS SHOW IS PERFECT. It's my third favourite thing EVER! The only reason it's not first or second is because those spots are being used for Doctor Who and Star Trek. In that order.

And Watson is my favorite character :)

I'm filling in the time watching Doctor Who (I'm a new Whovian). Started with David Tennant, and now onto Matt Smith.
I think Cumberbatch should be the next Doctor.

But, not until we get at least one more season of Matt.

The only objection I have is that I would be watching Doctor Who and be like, "LULZ Sherlock, WTF are you doing?!"

Sherlock should be the twelfth doctor who used a chameleon arch to become human! There's bound to be a watch in that flat somewhere.
Hi all! My name is Sherlock and I'm a Dr.Who fan. So, I pretty much had to join this thread! :)
YOUR NAME IS SHERLOCK???????!!!!!!?????? OMG, THAT'S LIKE THE MOST EPIC THING EVER!
I am from a whole family of Sherlocks. And I even write Sherlock Holmes/Doctor Who pastiches. Sort of Dr.Who type stories but with Sherlock Holmes instead of the Doctor as the one who must save the world from aliens. :)
Incidentally, I think Benedict Cumberbatch would be a great Doctor. His mother, in real life, is Wanda Ventham. She was in Dr.Who, ofcourse (The Faceless Ones and Image of the Fendahl...and Time and the Rani) but she also played a character called Virginia on Gerry Anderson's "UFO". And I named my daughter after her. So...get this...my daughter is Virginia Sherlock...after a character played by Benedict Cumberbatch's mother! The coincidences do my head in!

Tiffany, maybe I could get him to use my book as a basis for a series. My book is about a "Scotland Yard of Time and Space" which "manifests" Sherlock Holmes as a real, flesh and blood man, from the data stored in books and movies and TV shows and appoints him to investigate time disturbances and save the world. :)
It's available as a paperback or a kindle edition download from Amazon. And anyone who is in the Kindle select online library service can borrow it and read it for free. I'm planning to write a series of them, I'm kind of modelling them on the Tom Baker era Dr.Who's because he dressed as Sherlock Holmes in one story and his stories would be the type of thing I could see Sherlock Holmes involved in...Mummies, Frankenstein...that stuff would make great Sherlock crossovers.
Sherlock Holmes, time-detective.
Every time I see The Reichenbach Fall I cry. People will just look at me and they're all "Why are you crying?" And I just look at them. They don't understand.
This show is just so amazing.
This show is just so amazing.
How did you like Hounds of Baskerville? I thought it had a lot of Quatermass elements in it.
I'm rewatching all the episodes. Right now I've just started season 1. I LOVE BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH!
I used to find his mother rather captivating too. Good old Wanda! But yes he's a GREAT Sherlock Holmes. But what about Johnny Lee Miller in Elementary? I think he's quite good in his own way. Not as charismatic as Benefict but very funny and engaging.
Darn autocorrect doesn't like Benedict's name I see! :(

Interestingly, Miller co-starred with Jude Law (Watson) in the movie Love Honour and Obey and he and Cumberbatch played Frankenstein and his monster on stage.
And, of course, he was Angelia Jolie's first husband (1996 - 1999).
I think you'd enjoy Elementary. The stories are good. Here in Australia, we have a new show called The Dr Blake Mysteries. The main character is a mix of Holmes and Sexton Blake. I really like it.
Meanwhile I'm busy writing my story about a modern day Holmes travelling back in time to Victorian London to catch a dangerous escapee from the future! :)

I watched some Jeremy Brett when I started researching Holmes for my first book and I found his performance remarkably precise and flawless. He's very impressive and has a distinctive and unusual style. He was regarded as the finest Holmes of his era.
We're lucky to be in an age where Sherlock Holmes is back in action! If anyone is interested, I've just uploaded a preview of my new Sherlock Holmes novel "Phantom from the future" to my personal profile page.
Lol! Nice one. I watched Robert Downey Jr's movie tonight. Grabbed the Blu Ray today. Not as good as Benedict's version but a cool movie all the same.
