8:29 p.m.and I just got home from work about 30 minutes ago. Started on some reading and attempting to catch up on posts. Not in a lot of pain right now, so I plan to take advantage of that and read.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 1:56 a.m. EDT Popped open a jug of black raspberry mead that we bought a few weeks ago. It is tasty! Had to stop myself after 2 glasses, though, but it was resealable, so it'll hold until tomorrow... :-) Finished with the four-book series. I'm going to read an omnibus by the author of the three-book series, and then start on them. I'll have the review of the third ready well before the tour date, but better that than not having it done at all! My Vine books will probably be here Monday, and I'll have to read them ASAP once I have them. Good thing I have the week (mostly) off from editing! :-)

9:50AM A very quiet morning. Hub at work, Kay and Derek still asleep. I am going to read some this AM. Last night I picked up Saint, book 2 of the paradise series, and started reading it. Still working on Forever Odd. I will probably have both Forever Odd, and Saint done by the end of the month. Good Morning y'all!

It looks like he was a Texas thing; I'd never heard of him. But it's a tragedy, from the sounds of it. Sounds like he was a good man. I wonder what happened?

3:04 p.m. EDT About time to put the dog out, and then do some more reading! Tomorrow I'm editing a short piece for Cheryl Rainfield. Not an official edit, but I offered to edit a short piece for her as thanks for all her great stories, and she decided to take me up on it. Then back to reading! Don't imagine it'll take me much more than three or four hours, so won't cut into my day too badly. I'm also having lunch tomorrow with that friend of my cousin; I'm looking forward to that.

2:19PM Enjoying Saint right now, it is an incredible read. I am really enjoying the Paradise series so much! Will hate for them to all be over. Also read more of Forever Odd. My goal is to finish both of these books by the end of the month.

I'm dead tired, and downing caffeine in hopes it keeps my eyes open a little. Got to love energy drinks. I hope everyone has a great day, sorry I didn't keep up on posts yesterday, I will try to do better today. Yesterday was just craziness at work.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Chris, glad today is the last day and hope you enjoy your day off! My husband frequently only receives one day a week off, which is usually Sunday, and he usually sleeps through the whole thing!

12:44 p.m. EDT So bummed, I had to cancel lunch because my eyes were all swollen up this morning and I could hardly see. I iced them and the swelling seems to have gone down now, but I didn't feel comfortable to drive like this. So annoying. Hopefully will be able to reschedule soon. Janine is such a cool person, and I'd like to hang out with her some. Anyway, I have a ton of e-mail to go through 'cause I slept for 13 hours - crashed out last night around 9 after going out for Chinese and didn't crawl out of bed until 10 this morning. I have no idea why I'm so tired! Very annoying. Will have to do better about taking naps in the evening rather than staying up all night.

12:05PM The house is alive now, but thankfully Aeverie is letting me continue to read. Auntie is entertaining him. Soon they will go out and swim. I usually wait till evening this way the sun had a chance to warm the water some.

Forever Odd has picked up and it has become quite enjoyable for me. Almost at the 300 mark. Was gonna switch to Saint, but I think I will just finish this one up.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Janie, out on the ranch where I grew up I used to swim in our cattle/horse watering tank. I would beg and beg as soon as the temp hit 72 to go "swim" and even if the water was freezing cold to where my teeth chattered, I'd say "No, it's fine, the water's great..." haha. I was a crazy kid...

9:31PM Had leftovers for dinner, and that was Chicken LoMein for me. Had a good workout again. I just love how I feel afterwards. Took Aeverie out to the pool with Kay. Now he is watching Open Season and hopefully will nod off. I have been reading Saint this evening once I got back inside. Hub is in bed and Kay in her room. Derek is off at work. So I had a pretty good day today.

Alondra sorry to hear you are so tired, but I gotta say I have also been there. Chris glad you made it through your long stretch at work. Always nice to come home to family.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 11:09 p.m. EDT A very irritating day. First I had to miss lunch 'cause of my eyes, and then I developed a migraine. *sigh* Have barely managed any reading today, much to my annoyance. Well, hopefully I'll finish this book by morning and move on to the second, although I'm not looking forward to it, 'cause the second book is really hard to read. Well-written, not a bad book you understand, but so many evil people and horrible things happen. But I need to re-read it before I move on to the new one, so ... *sigh*

message 5684: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:30 PM. Today was pretty productive: did some laundry, read a few pages, put clean sheets on our bed, did the dishes, swept the house, went to check my dad's mail since he is out of town, made a delicious breakfast casserole I've been wanting to try for a while, talked to my daddy on the phone, and the best part, I had such an intense , hardcore run. Makes me look forward to tomorrow's workout.

Going to make a cup of coffee and do some reading. I really miss my dad right now. He's only been out of town for a week, and is going to be on his oil rig for another three weeks or so. I miss my daddy. :(

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 3:09 a.m. EDT Just ended one giveaway on my blog, but I have three left open. One is for e-books and the other two are for Amazon gift certificates, $10 and $25 respectively. It's keeping traffic brisk over there, which is awesome. I finished my re-read of the first Light of Epertase book, and about to start the second, A Kingdom's Fall. I read it in January, but don't remember it very well. Judging from my review it was pretty dark and depressing (what can I expect from military science-fantasy?) so I'm not really looking forward to it, but need to read it before I can read the final book, The Rise of Cridon. I'm hoping it has a happy ending, but we'll see... :-)

message 5688: by [deleted user] (new)

Chris, hope you're enjoying a much needed day off and your trip to the library! I'd be lost without the library.

Katy, bummer about your lunch. I'm in the same boat as you--I don't get out that much and when I have to miss something scheduled it's quite depressing. I had a migraine all weekend to the point I almost went to the ER, so I can sympathize with you there, too.

Kathryn, how was the kayak ride?

1:05pm EDT. Just cooked off some bacon for turkey clubs tonight--a simple dinner since I don't feel much like cooking. Feeling rejuvenated today after being pretty sick for the last 4 days. Hope to get some serious reading done today, planning hub to make a major library haul for me tomorrow. Enjoying my first coffee in 4 days and is it ever good! Have a great day everyone!

message 5689: by Chris (new)

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments Terri I'm so glad you are doing better. I get migraines to but never to that extent. Hope you get some great reading in today.

12:41PM kids are napping and my wife and I are relaxing on the couch watching a movie. Library after naps and lunch.

message 5690: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Glad you're feeling better. Migraines are the pits. I actually had two right in a row. As soon as the first aura cleared up, a second one started up. *shakes head* I hope I don't end up with a big ol' cluster-bomb of them. Last time I had a cluster, it lasted 6 days and I finally gave up and had acupuncture done to clear it up.

1:51 p.m. EDT Ended up going to bed around 9 this morning and then waking up at noon. I just realized the mail I just picked up was from yesterday... Today's mail just showed, so need to run out and pick that up. Then finish clearing out e-mail! Yesterday's mail had Anthea Carson's complete Osh Kosh trilogy in paperback for me. I edited them all, although the third book is the edition before I edited it, since she released it before I had the chance to work on it, so it's like an ARC. I think my edited edition is probably up by now, though, at least for e-books!
