I liked JC more than most of them because of how WHINY they are...or just...annoying. And yeah, I like Asher SOMETIMES, but when he's all "oh im scared, im ugly, im hideous, wah wah wah" I want to punch him. Hard. Repeatedly. In the face. With a lamp. Made of knives. So he will SHUT UP. And Richard????? God, I wish he just died off a long time ago.

@Llaph Yeah I'd think that Nathaniel would have to braid his hair before bed. Then again, my hair is down to my hips and leave it loose when I sleep. I guess it depends.I'm finally starting
. When I read it the first time, I'd bought Touch the Dark and Claimed by Shadow at the same time. I liked book 1, really liked book 2, but it wasn't until Embrace the Night that I really fell in love.
ugh it is hot as [insert your favorite four letter word here] and I hate double tapping on my phone and I am turning off my computer (in hope that the AC catches up and my little room gets cooler) and so coming back to this later and doing it in the LKH thread, cause I feel like babbling lots.
I really should be writing my review for
, but I am too excited so I am gonna start reading my ARC copy of
.Also rereading
Finished:Danse Macabre (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #14) by Laurell K. Hamilton
and
The Harlequin (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #15) by Laurell K. Hamilton
Cookie….
Going to rant in the LKH thread for a bit … lol why do I do this to myself sometimes?
Finished:Blood Noir (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #16) by Laurell K. Hamilton
Some are long and some are short … sheesh. Away book next. <3 Edward
@Llaph Harlequin was the first Anita book I read and I loved it. Danse Macabre is also a favorite of mineBought
today
I just finished my 6th book this month,
Edge of Dawn (Midnight Breed #11) by Lara Adrian. My next book is
Night Veil (Indigo Court, #2) by Yasmine Galenorn
Finished:Skin Trade (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #17) by Laurell K. Hamilton
I like away game books. :)
Finished:Flirt (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #18) by Laurell K. Hamilton
Geez, take out the author notes and it is a reallly short story.
Finished
. It was solidly mediocre. I finished it, but I wasn't invested in the outcome. There were moments when the author could have done something interesting, and she let those opportunities pass her by. Additionally, the main character experienced a great deal of angst that I could have done without. I like my heroines decisive.
Oh oh I also just read episode 7 of
, a really awesome Kindle serial about an agency that stops fairy tales from manifesting in our reality by Seanan McGuire. I really enjoy it, but in typical Seanan fashion I'm always dying to find out what happens next.
Finished:Hit List (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #20) by Laurell K. Hamilton
I love not getting sleep ... it is so awesome.

H8 Monica"
I want to leap into the book and punch her in the fact. Repeatedly.
ANYWAY, I just finished
and oh my God SO MANY FEELINGS. Seriously. Will be discussing this in the general book thread under a huge spoiler tag because reasons.
@ Claire:Ohhh those evil "facts". :P
She is such a stupid ho-bag. Jessica Arnette is just as bad ... though now she is also just plain creepy.

Arnette pisses me off even more than Monica. She's just so INFURIATING. What the hell makes her think she has to right to constantly butt in on Anita's personal life? I mean, it's just conduct so unbecoming for a cop. I hope something eats her.
finished
which I really enjoyed, ended up rating it four stars!!also finished
which was also quiet good, now im reading
but I might put it down for a bit and try another books first.... im just not into it at the moment
I just finished my 7th book this month,
Night Veil (Indigo Court, #2) by Yasmine Galenorn. My next book is
Affliction (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #22) by Laurell K. Hamilton
I was right and I ended up reading all of the Cassie books straight through. I was so caught up in them, that aside from status updates, I haven't really been on GR all week. I finished rereading
, too. I've got some R2Rs that I've put off too long, so I'm starting
and
I just finished my 8th book this month,
Affliction (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #22) by Laurell K. Hamilton. My next book is
Unraveling (Unraveling #1) by Elizabeth NorrisThe only thing I true hate about her (Laurell K. Hamilton) books and not bad thing is that I want them to a 1200 pages or more.
attempted to read
but i couldnt get into it, so i put it down and started reading
which so far isnt to bad though a little young in the way the characters talk and behave.
Finished:Poltergeist (Greywalker, #2) by Kat Richardson
I liked the first one, some stuff had me scratching my head, but I liked this one a lot more. I had been putting off reading the series because my library only had the first 2 of the series. Think I might by the 3rd if I can’t find the rest. (I know there is like 8, but gotta start somewhere!) I rather liked how different the world was, it made me sort of miss Seattle too, just not the weather. lol
I hated the first Greywalker book. I gave up pretty early in.I think my next book will be
but no guarantees
greywalker is hard to get into, because of all the sciency stuff, but dude it gets soooo good, especially if you hate relationship drama.
I liked the sciency stuff, I am a nerd. lol I didn't even notice any romance, to me it seemed like a sort of run by ... Will ... wait ... what?I rather liked the 2nd book way more than the 1st book, it was worth going through the 1st book.
it gets better and better. I like book 3, a lot. I hope you get your hands on it!This is the longest my "currently reading" folder is empty. But tomorrow I start my reread of
Finished:Apocalipstick by Lisa Acerbo
@Zeenat:
I am hoping to get to it soon; I already submitted a request for the rest of the series to my library. I have a couple of things to do and maybe I will “reward” my cheap ass with a book when I am done. lol
I don't really have a TBR folder. I just either get a book that looks good or have a gumption to re-read something ... like I did for the AB series. The cassie books are next on my list for re-reads.
Finished:Spider’s Revenge (Elemental Assassin, #5) by Jennifer Estep
I figured since I already had a % of the book already read, that I would finish it. I have a few more to read to catch up in preparation to getting the latest one…. I should finish this re-read before I get to the cassie series though.
Oh, and poor giants—they are such red-shirts.
I just finished my 9th book this month,
Unraveling (Unraveling #1) by Elizabeth Norris. My next book is
Lady of the Shades by Darren Shan
Finished:Thread of Death (Elemental Assassin #5.5) by Jennifer Estep
and
By a Thread (Elemental Assassin, #6) by Jennifer Estep
I so did not miss Donovan … Owen seems to be too good to be true … next few books and the short stories will be interesting. I did notice that the eye talking calmed down a lot! Then again I tend to fixate on the weirdest shit.
Finished:Widow’s Web (Elemental Assassin, #7) by Jennifer Estep
It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be to be honest. The Gin & Donovan thing soooo did not even measure up to the Owen & Salina thing. (lol@water name) I think someone snuck up on Owen and beat the shit out of him with the dumbass-hypocrite stick—knew that man was too perfect seeming.
I have not slept yet. Weather + allergies are kicking my ass.:( I wish I liked coffee or something or maybe … yanno … sleep or something. ><
see people make it seem like Owen is such a shithead because of what he did. And it was crappy--but the circumstances are WAY different. I think owen is forgivable. I lurve Owen.
Finished Tempting Danger and Mortal Danger started Web of Lies and about to start the reread of Claimed By Shadow

Just finished Ascension by Sable Grace. I left a review. Now reading Bewitching The Werewolf by Caroline Hansen. I'm going for light, humorous fluff for a little while. Need a mini break.
Finished:Deadly Sting (Elemental Assassin, #8) by Jennifer Estep
Oh … I agree somewhat. I was irritated when I finished it. I realllly didn’t like Salina and it was so frustrating for him not to believe Eva and Phillip … or even Gin. It is something to SAY or promise something, it is another thing to have it put to the test. The whole thing, while giving me a sadface, just made them seem to be characters that felt more real to me. Owen is not perfect, and reading how he actually is thinking about it? It is refreshing to see a relationship that actually has some work put into it—if that makes any sense.
I have a feeling it will get better, it just won’t be an insta-fix like in other book series.
I wasn’t expecting this book to just span a night—it was a nice surprise though—the story did not drag. I liked the ending too! (Harhar Jonah, you rat bastard.)
Finished:Carniepunk: Parlor Tricks by Jennifer Estep
and
Kiss of Venom (Elemental Assassin, #8.5) by Jennifer Estep
I think that Kiss of Venom is my favorite short of the series so far … I so loved getting Owen’s POV on the crap he did. (It is always nice wen a guy admits to being an asshat.)
lol @ the h8 he has gotten for it all though….
I just have to wait till next Tuesday for the next book, even though it might not be so good, my library usually gets Pocket pub'd books on the same day that they are published. (if not earlier, I got Carniepunk weeks before it was published somehow. :x)
Exactly! I was sad face and thought he was an asshat, but he's human, not super perfect. I like that!
I am still struggling with my rating for the kiss of venom ARC I want to give it 3 or 4 stars... I wish I did half stars LOL
I finished
and I'm starting my reread of
.I think I'd give Angel's Ink 3.5 stars, but round up to 4 in my review. It was definitely interesting, but something about the characters didn't grab me as much as I might have liked.
@Claire I felt the same way about angels ink. I think it might be since this is the authors first time writing from a man pov.IMO
i finished my rereads Blood Reunion,Bumble,Shadowed,Targetcurrently rereading Vendetta
The carachter connections make a lot more sense the second time around. Also with all the time traveling I can keep up a lot better this time around.
finished my re-listen of
@ Diane I'm still not sure about Nightlife yet. I can see the potential for the MC be PM'ing extremely irritating. I do like the writing style though, and it's dark and gritty feel.
