What book did you leave off in the PsyCop series Leea? I can continue the series with you. It would be great to chat with someone about this series. I feel like I got on the bandeagon too late.So glad that your son's illness didn't put a damper on his holiday.
I had a great Thanksgiving but I almost had a meltdown. I had to get used to my sister's oven. The turkey took a little longer than expected. Everyone was starving. It was about 7:00 pm by the time we ate.
I'm not getting notifications either! I wonder why....
Oh, you passed me. I think I left off at book 3. It's okay, I'm so glad you're enjoying the series. GR sometimes does this, hopefully the notifications come back on soon. Ugh!

I am only one book ahead. I am more than happy to wait for you to catch up. I actually have 2 other books i need to start for group reads. I really don't mind waiting. Let me know if you want to read the restof the series together.

It is ok. I do that all the time. I am liking it so much I am sad that I had to put it down to start the other books. But I have to so I don't fall behind.

Leea, this book is fantastic, I haven't finished yet about 20 pages left but wow! I didn't think I would've enjoyed it this much.
I snuck up on me too. I found myself really connecting with the characters and getting very emotional at times, I even cried closer to the end.
I just finished, yeah I teared up a couple of times at the end, and also there were some scenes that I couldn't read I just skimmed (view spoiler) those were heart breaking, but I loved the book. I almost feel sorry for the next book I read cause it's going to have measure up this one.

I am liking the book a lot. I just don't understand what happened to Nastya. She was murdered 2 years ago? Huh? I left off on the part after Josh takes her home after having dinner at Drew's house.
Give it time, I will say that everything gets revealed which is one of the things I loved about this story
So far I am liking all the characters. I especially love Drew. He cracks me up.I think we need to create a thread for this buddy read.
Yeah Drew is pretty awesome, come to think of it all these characters are pretty awesome. This is undoubtedly a character-driven book.

Yup, I'm telling you this author left NOTHING undone, there was even a really nice surprise at the end.

I haven't read PNR in a long time... Sorry, i'm obsessed now. hehe!
I am trying to make progress with the book. I am just at the part where Drew finds out that she talks. It kind of bums me out that he knows. I loved that is was just something between her and Josh. I love it when Josh said now that Drew knows, it makes her a little less his.One thing I find interesting about Nastya is that she is so strong willed in some ways by deciding certain things about her life but she isn't that strong willed to get her life back. I am not sure exactly the details of what happened. I am guessing rape and mutilation of some kind. But whatever ever happened to her, she is still playing the victim. That part of her I don't understand. It is like she is two different people. What a dynamic.
I think Nastya can't imagine her life without her piano because she never did before. So now shes lost and like withthe piano she says she can only focus in one thing and so she is focused on revenge and thats what fuels her will right now.

I am not saying to forget what happened to her but for it to not define her.
I feel so bad for her family. They are trying and it is futile.

Yup, and they really go care so much about her, so you think she's selfish as well Marcella? Leea can you remember how you felt about her at this point in the book? For me I just felt like she was hurting all the time. So she couldn't see passed her own hurt, and so she wanted them to give up on her.
I just finished the book. HOLY CRAP! I LOVED IT!!!!!!
