I combined them but didn't merge those from #82, since I saw three different ISBN's for the two books mentioned.
Please merge them. 9785271423 was the clipped ISBN13 9785271423505, I fixed it.
I get these ISBNs 5271423506, ISBN13 9785271423505 for one and 597252256X, ISBN13 9785972522569 for the other, which is totally different. It may need further checking to see what edition 597252256X, ISBN13 9785972522569 belong to or if it is indeed an error. They can't be merged without further info and a super librarian may have to do the actual merging if the reviews exceed 5.
This is the only existing russian edition of this book: http://fantlab.ru/edition77828This book was published by two different publishers, so it has two different pairs of ISBN.
Each ISBN-13 should have its own record in the database. Nothing needs to be merged.
The other ISBN was just added earlier this month. It simply could be that the Russian issue when republished was given a new set of ISBN's but we can't merge when there are two distinct numbers.EDIT: Thanks Amara, didn't see your post.
I also notice now that the ISBN's have been changed, that needs to be changed back. The September 2nd entry has ISBN 13 9785972522569 with ISBN10 9785271423. This last was changed to 597252256X tonight.
Nothing needs to be changed back. I just replaced wrong ISBN10 (clipped ISBN13) by correct ISBN10 for this publisher/book combination. Here is the changelog.
As Roman said, the '9785271423' to '597252256X' change is fine. The former number is a truncated ISBN-13--i.e., not a real ISBN-10--so replacing it with the proper -10 is the correct course of action.
Yes, I saw the change log. I haven't changed anything back, only combined the editions together.

I'm starting to slowly clean up entries for Zola's Rougon-Macquart series. Most editions have ISBNs or other info and I'm leaving those as is, but any that have no specific info I'm merging with the main one in the appropriate language.This edition

Also, any books that are "analysis of..." (i.e., CliffNotes types of books) works should be separated out, correct? I'm seeing a few of these mixed in. Zola is never an actual author of these but sometimes the author's not obvious, should Zola be deleted as an author regardless?
#97 merged.CliffNotes-type books should be separated out from the works they're analyzing. As for whether the authors of the works being analyzed are acceptable as secondary authors, I'm not sure; fairly certain those authors should definitely not be primary, though.
