Reading the World is for those of us:

* That want to see how diverse we read
* Track all the places we read about
* See the stats - "Who reads books mostly set in fictional locations? Do some of us mostly read books set in a specific country (most likely the USA or England)? Who is the most diverse? How does genre influence it? eg. paranormal romance and YA readers vs. historical fiction vs. science fiction vs fantasy. What cities or towns come up the most?"

Everything goes. You can track however you want it and this never ends!

Thanks so much for this one, Lu! I assume we can be as specific as we want to be. I still want to read a book set in each of the US states so this will do nicely. What's the starting date?

message 6: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Smith | 6944 comments If you're just going to track your reads, I don't think there's a starting date. But not sure how it works if you're actually going to do a challenge and set goals.

Nadine May (NadineMay) | 41 comments Ive just finished Songs of Earth and Power by Greg Bear. The story was set in the U.S.A 'in this reality' Greg's powerful story telling skill about multi-dimensional realms was phenomenal. During the reading of this book my inner visions took me to so many alternative realities, they almost merged with my present reality. It's very uncanny how this fantasy novel can awaken the dreamer within me and make me walk between worlds.
