message 360: by [deleted user] (new)

I am reading Zero and Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

I will usually read one book unless I really want to read a specific book right then or I have a book that is due to the library sooner than the one that I am reading or I just can't get into any book that I am reading in which case I have a whole system that involves me reading up to ten books until I find one that holds my attention.

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments I really want to read DOSAB. Is it any good so far? That's usually the reasons why I would read 2 books at a time as well.

It is really good. The biggest problems I have so far are obsession at first sight which then turns into insta-love and the time jumps. The good news is that it does not happen until later in the book.

message 381: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Wow, Kathryn, I could never ever read 8 books at one time! How do you keep track of everything?

message 382: by Inger (new)

Inger | 241 comments I don't even try reading 2 books at one time, because I couldn't keep track of everything, also I think I have to lose myself completely in ONE story, but Kathryn you got my respect :D
i started reading and finished Moving In Reverse (Moving Neutral, #2) by Katy Atlas this night. It was a good sequel with this cruel cliffhanger at the end....can't wait for the third book....
I read all those positive comments on Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1) by Katie McGarry , so I'm going to read the whole book this evening, in case it really is that good :b

message 384: by Inger (new)

Inger | 241 comments it's guaranteed? great! now I'm really looking forward to this night :D
I promise you after finishing the book I'll sit right here and start writing :D

message 385: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Cool! I am waiting to hear from you, Inger :)

message 386: by Inger (new)

Inger | 241 comments Well, it's 2am (in germany :b), I stopped reading at page 278 and thus far: yes, it's not bad! :D
Usually I got no problems with reading a book at one night but this one makes me feel exhausted while reading it (you know that feeling too?!) I think it's because there's too much content too process, too many secrets to reveal etc :b
I'll go on reading tomorrow/today. Currently I would rate this book with 4 stars, because of her style of writing. I think it's not that fluently..
And I almost forgot: at least I have to make one comment on the Echo(love her name)-Noah lovestory...sweet! :)
Look forward to finishing this book tomorrow..

message 387: by Gisbelle (new)

I read it (didn't do audio) and.... for the story, I loved it. I thought it was well written and gritty - true in all of it's ugly realness.

But, on a personal note, it was a tough read (not bad, just difficult). I have two girls, 1 is a teenager - and this book just broke my heart.

I say go for it! :)

message 391: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Jay has become my favorite author after I read his book, The Future of Us. So I think 13 Reasons Why is also a good book to read :)
