Alien in the Family (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #3) by Gini Koch

Book/Author: Alien in the Family/Gini Koch
Series Name: Katherine "Kitty" Katt
Shelf: Free Space
Read: 7/6/12
Rating: ★★★★
Review: I really enjoyed the book. Got to love Katt and Jeff duo. Love Jamie, the best BFF ever. The whole wedding plan (by Jamie) thing was hilarious. Chuckie grew on me. I really love the Poofs, cute but deadly, and all of their nicknames. Love to see more (actions) of them. 3 books later they finally tide thed knott and becoming parents. Can't wait for the next book. Kitty as a parent -- now that would be interesting.

Kari | 223 comments I finished Undead and Unworthy this afternoon. Overall one of the better Betsy installments. There was a legitimate plot for the whole book, and it looks like there may be a tangible storyline arc in the books to come. Completed 7/14/12 rated 3 stars.

This was a really good book. The story line hook me right away and keep me reading til the end. I like Amelia but hope she stops being so scared of her gift and starts using her gift. I'm hoping the next books starts up where this one left off.

Review: I liked the new spin-off series of Vlad and Leila. The only thing I was curious to see is the series written on Vlad's POV. Also, I would love it to be a little more mature as the series progresses. I would love to see Leila maturing over time. Really excited for the following books.

This was a good a book, but I was hoping for more. I know a lot of people who told me this was a great series. Maybe I was expecting too much. I'm definitely going to read the rest of the series, there are some characters whose story I would love to read.

A lighter version of Joe Pitt series, I'd say. Loved the humor. The ending was a let down, I expected something more. I'm sure the series will only get better with each book, though.

This book was a good 1st book of a series. I definetly be reading all of this series. There are some characters I'm curious to see live or die or become undead. I like a good strong female lead that still has a soft side. Too bad about Phillip, I liked him. Wererats! That was a new one for me.

message 145: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25912 comments Psy-changelings has wererats but not as major characters, only as allies to the cats & wolves.

message 146: by Midu (new)

Midu Hadi | 1732 comments @Sandra:
though I'm pretty sure, we'll be seeing at least one book focused on the wererats in the series!

message 148: by Kari (new)

Kari | 223 comments I finished The Last Guardian (Artemis Fowl, #8) by Eoin Colfer 7/30/12. I gave it 4 stars. Overall it was a pretty good summary to the Artemis Fowl series. I haven't liked every single book in the series, but this last one was just fast paced enough to keep me entertained and had all my favorite characters in it. Time to put that series from my younger days to rest now :)

message 149: by Midu (new)

Midu Hadi | 1732 comments @Kari:
I know what you mean. I've been putting off continuing the series for the very same reason.

GinBee (jennymbee) | 34 comments UnGuarded by Ashley Robertson
Book/Author: UnGuarded by Ashley Robertson
Shelf: Free Space
Read: 7/22/12
Rating: ★★★★
Review: UnGuarded is an Angel book but not quite like any other I've read. I really enjoyed Ashley's take on Guardian angels, great to see a writer putting a different spin on things. The outcome of the story is not your typical will she become fallen or won't she either, I won't say more or it will ruin the book, but I really liked the direction the story took. The romance is supplied though Seline (our angel) being in love with a vampire, good old forbidden romance :-)
