Feb 2011 Challenge
Okay, just figured out how to do a (sloppy) edit of my original post - but can anyone tell me how to do a strike through of one's type? I don't even know how to do that outside of Goodreads.Don't know if I'll make this one, as all the books I chose are pretty long - where's a silhouette special edition when I need one?
Zoe,I am going to type this with spaces so you can see. But you will need to delete the spaces, understand? You put a less than sign before an s and then a greater than sign (without spaces) before the title and a < / s > after the title, or whatever you wish to strike out.
5/6 Completed1 Year Anniversary Challenge I’m reading so many books right now on my Kindle so I switched one of the new to me authors to one that was an e-book

I won't be finishing this challenge. I was doing ok, but this week with the tragic events in our Christchurch city, I have been constantly watching the news and not much in the mood for reading. Maybe I'll try again next month.

I'm so sorry to hear about the earthquake in Christchurch. I'm keeping Christchurch in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks so much, Gigi. It is so hard to fathom the death toll of 146 ppl in our little nation. Thanks for everyones thoughts and prayers. They are indeed a comfort.

They are indeed a comfort."Wow, 146 people...thats so sad. Ironically, yesterday morning I saw a television new story about this woman in Christchurch who was trapped in her collapsed office building. My memory is the worst so, hopefully I'm recounting the story correctly. So, she text her fiancée to tell him where she was trapped. He rushed over fearing that she may die before he arrived. So, he text her back letting her know he was there with her parents (I believe) and a group of men to dig her out and for her to hang in there. Well, they finally dug her out and her fiancée carries her off. And they were married 3 days later.
Oh!! I just found a story about them online:

I'm not personally effected, but my heart just breaks when I hear of such disasters. So I just love hearing stories like hers in the midst of so much sadness.
I'm with you Michelle. I love to hear about such a beautiful story that stands out against the tragedy.
Because the last day of the month is tomorrow, instead of posting the update later tonight, I’m going to hold off and post the final tally during the day on March 1st. Happy Reading!

I am not going to make it - but I'll still finish the books. Just not going to do the March Challenge so I can finish a few things and read a couple kids books.
@Michelle and Megan, I agree. I too love to hear uplifting stories like that during times of tragedy.
