What did you think of Bullet? Do you read all her stuff?

It's the proverbial train wreck; you know you shouldn't look, but you can't stop yourself. LOL.

I've been reading LKH almost since the beginning and nostalgia makes it difficult for me to give up. I keep hoping I'll pick up a book and there will be an actual mystery, with zombie raisings and everything. Bullet had promise, but didn't completely deliver. IMO. I'm not a prude, sex doesn't bother me. The problem is that LKH just isn't any good at writing sex scenes.

LOL! Yep, same here! You hit it on the head with the train wreck. :) I have been trying to locate a person who actually thinks that there is anything redeeming in the series still...so far, no luck. Until last year I could say that I owned all her work, but when she split her 'annual novel' into two novellas, but still charged novel prices, I bailed.

I'm in total agreement on the sex thing too. Does she not know that she writes poor sex scenes? No one is telling her? It's like she got broccoli in her teeth and no one will speak up! *sigh*

Her Merry stuff is actually better (the sex part at least-less whining and no Nathaniel) so it made me crazy when she put off the next Merry book a year to publish her Bullet/Flirt nightmare. After all these books I hate letting go, but what can you do? Even Christine Feehan turned her Carpathian series around from this same disaster...and her sex scenes are waaay better. Here's hoping on the next installment!

Congrats again on finishing. I just got started myself. Are you off to do another year challenge?

Glad you are thinkin' about joinin' in on my 11x11. ;) I seriously need to work down my on-hand books, I'm hoping I haven't made it too easy for myself. I think by not having a book on more than one list was good, otherwise, I could've had all my new2me authors on my new2me series list. Not fair. LOL!

@Dana -- RRRC is the first group I joined here at Goodreads and it all snowballed out of control from there. LOL. The group is called "Romance Readers Reading Challenges" and the main focus is romance, but there are people who read across genres. There are quite a few different challenges, some monthly, some quarterly and some yearly. And unless specifically stated, you can actually read any genre you want for a category. (Mine are usually heavily loaded with UF/PNR.) All the A-Z challenges are not limited to Romance only.
