Yes Diane, all of those work. You can use any words that fit the category--the stuff I listed was just the examples I could think of. :)

Laura Lulu (lauralulu) | 1603 comments I combined the book suggestion posts into posts #17 & #18, so they're all in one place on the first page. :)

So far there are suggestions for Weapons, Animals & Architecture, and I just posted suggestions for First Names & Places in post #18.

Thenia | 977 comments I seriously hate you guys...
I've been trying to talk myself out of entering a new challenge before I'm done with the ones I'm already in but then I read this..... How am I supposed to control myself now??

I'll go check my TBR mountains of books and try to fit them in the categories... If they fit (and I have a feeling I'll make them fit somehow) I'll be back to join you all...

If the challenge's duration wasn't a year I wouldn't even think about it but now... I hate you guys...

(Not really, though! :P Awesome challenge Laura Lulu! *tips hat in acknowledgment*)

It's an art form--you should embrace your challenge-fitting abilities. :)

If the challenge's duration wasn't a year I wouldn't even think about it but now... I hate you guys...

Lol. That's why I did a year--I wanted it to be a fun challenge, not a challenging challenge. :)

And I thank you. *bowing gracefully*

message 62: by Thenia (new)

Thenia | 977 comments It truly is an art form, challenge fitting, and (un)fortunately (depends on how you look at it) I'm quite good at it,too!

Even with the year ahead it's still going to be a... challenging challenge! Doesn't matter though. It's gonna be more fun than challenge and that's what matters!

Again, great job coming up with it. I'm halfway through my list and it's miraculously filled! I'll post the final list soon and then I'll go put on my reading shoes and get started!

Thenia | 977 comments Judithe, I've read more than half of Black Dust Mambo and I like it so far. I've read A Rush of Wings by Adrian Phoenix before, so I knew I'd probably like her writing and it hasn't disappointed me so far.

Steph, thanks for the welcome and to my horror you're already proven right!

Laura Lulu, I've only heard good things about Mistborn: The Final Empire. I'll let you know what I think when I read it. That and Sevenwater series, too.

How are you guys doing so far?

I'm glad you're liking Black Dust Mambo...it's the first of her work I've read and I'm adding more to my TBR (I think it's taking growth hormones!)

message 74: by Thenia (new)

You're doing better than me, though! I'm in my second book this month! O.o

Anyway, enjoy your books!

Lovely location, Greece...but I'd find it hard to concentrate on school! LOL...guess if you're there for awhile it's not as difficult (know you don't have to do everything/see RIGHT NOW)

So you're not alone Thenia. Just study hard & reward yourself with a book now & then.

message 91: by Thenia (new)

Greece is great only if you're here on vacation... The beaches and the sea and the islands in general are just amazing.

Sandra, LOL! Good luck with that!!I wouldn't whine about how many books I have to read normally. I'm just feeling a little guilty for not studying instead.

Thanks for the support guys!I appreciate it!

Plus, I just loaded my mp3 player full of audiobooks to listen to while I do my chores! :D
Now I really don't have any excuse to procrastinate any longer! (Damn!)So, chores and then studying. Promise. With breaks for a couple of pages to relax. And then studying. Really! :P

I'm gonna cut'cha.

Lol. Okaaaaaay.

Paranormal Being: when I hear "alpha" thoughts go to weres/shifters, buuuuuut, this one I was even pushing my boundaries a bit. So, I'll just switch it out with: Waking The Witch by Kelley Armstrong.

And when I hear blood or fangs I think of a vamp, or when I hear magic I think of a witch...yada yada yada.

Good explanations. It's just like writing class--everyone has a right answer--just provide backup. ;)
