Tower Team C: C Us Win!
Lisa Kay wrote: "Too bad about your Nook, Barbara★, but glad your are able to charge it at work. I'll have to check out Creepers."Yup bad cable. Bummer. Guess I have to get another one. Well at least it wasn't the nook itself as that would have sucked.
Nancy - Thanks! I've been working alot of slow night shifts lately which is great for reading. Plus, I have no life and spend all my free time reading. LOLLisa Kay - Thanks! I didn't read
after all though. I just wasn't in the mood for it. I'm starting to think I may never finish that series. This weekend I read
and
, both of which I really liked, and
, which was just ok for me.I just started
and I'm liking it so far.
Welcome to Team C - "C Us Win," Red Solo Cup! Looks like you like to read all kinds of genres. Hmmmm... I just don't know what to suggest. Have you looked at our BOM coming up?
Today was a good reading day. I finished

two more books needed for the SRC challenge.
Red Solo Cup wrote: "Hey guys I just joined this challenge and I'm almost done with

Finish reading a classic by Betty Smith With a White Cover :D
Joy in the Morning - Betty Smith 5★'s (Feb 26, 2013) 288 pages This is the list of Books I am looking at reading next
All White Covers :D
Won't get through all of them this week, but should be able to get 1 or 2 at least
Okay I am hoping you guys can help me out. I remember reading a book where two of the minor characters had pretended to dislike each other all the while being engaged. I keep thinking it was in one of Jane Austen's books but I can't remember if it was or if it was a different book. Anyone have any ideas?
Barbara ★ wrote: "I finished
and absolutely loved it."Yes, Barbara★, I really enjoyed that one, too.
Melanie, I added
to Post #1273. BTW, that has been on my TBR pile for awhile. I was just waiting for it to come out in paperback.
Lisa Kay wrote: "★Gwendolyn★, I added those books to Post #1273."TY Lisa Kay
Just a note: Kay is my middle name ;)
Sorry for being quiet guys, I don't even remember when I posted my last update. So far I read three books this week:
(which I liked)
(which was more boring and disapointing after a great prequel) and
(standard ya paranormal, nothing special). They all kinda have some white/whitish parts, but I will let Lisa Kay be the judge which ones can count for the challenge. :)
I finished
- good steamy romance by Bella Andre and now reading historical mystery set in London
which is kind of ok.Next will be Kristin Hannah book
Looks like no white covers this week for me.
I finished
yesterday... I'm definately interested to continue with the series. Started
last night which has been on my to-read shelf for over a year & half. This is my first book by Rebecca Chance, the cover caught my attention in the shop. Promising start, hopefully it continues.
I finished
which was okay and
which I really enjoyed. I think that's it for me for white bookcovers for the week. I've started reading
.
Hi Everyone :-). It's been quite awhile since I've dropped in to say what I've been reading ~ since Feb. 14. I thought I would do a quick update just to let you know that I'm still here and contributing :-)It's been a very busy reading month :-) Since the 14th I have finished,
(which I absolutely adored!)
(another 5 star book in my opinion)
(which I enjoyed greatly)
and
(a beautiful book - 5 stars).I am now at 30 books for this challenge. (I finished Name of the Wind also, but I started that one in Dec., so it didn't count here)
Actually, I did like it, Cathie. What I read of it. I do like Fantasy, but I can only take so much of it. And the book is so long! I have two books on my "currently reading" shelf that I haven't given up on completely, both are Fantasy, both are "chunksters." Guess that tells me something. LOL! How about you, did you like it?
Finished
which was absolutely brilliant, will be done with
tomorrow, and am working on getting through
when I'm at home and
when I'm walking from point A to point B.

Surprisingly this was a good read. It really makes you appreciate the American military!
- I have three ongoing
(audio)
(nook) and
(dtb).Delusion is great. Unnatural not so much. Andromedia really good.
Hi Lisa Kay ~ I liked The Name of the Wind. I gave it 4 stars, only because there were so many questions left unanswered. I don't like it when an author only writes part of story, making you have to buy additional books in order to find out what is hinted at in the first book.
Well, true. However, my library has all of them. ☺ I don't mind some unanswered questions. My big thing was the size of the book, though I thought it well written.I usually tackle "chunksters" and even enter the challenge in RRRC group several times a year. However, I have too much going on in my Real Life right now to immerse myself in one right now. I don't think I've started one since I did this one.
Yeah I have the 2nd book on my bookshelf too The Wise Man's Fear but it is even chunkier at almost 1,000 pages. Kvothe sure does like to talk about himself, lol.I don't do well with chunky reads; takes me forever to finish them up.
What's the RRRC group, Lisa Kay?
I finished
last night. Think that's the first book I've finished in at least a week, possibly longer.Hopefully, I'm getting towards the end of my 'training' at work which means I'll be able to sort of set my own hours and not still be working at 18.30, and therefore have time in the evening to read :) I do love what I do but I think I have a slightly different idea of good working practice to the girl who's teaching me!!
