Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) I missed sign-ups for this month (and have been out of PIFM for a bit), but if you end up with an odd number for repicks I'd be happy to pinch-hit (OK, that was the extent of my baseball terminology ;-)).

We should be able to make that work, even with your limited sports terminology! =)

Kimberly Hi Kate

It was a delight looking through your shelves and I hope you like your picks!

Baseball - From Their To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:

Home Run: Men Out of Uniform by Maya Banks I saw that you've read a lot of her books so why not give this one a try?

Field of Dreams: Moon Called by Patricia Briggs this is one of my favourite series and it's a great paranormal read :)

Clean Up Hitter:Playing to Win by Jaci Burton LEt me tell you I am lovin' this cover and its a series that I think I have to start. I picked it because you've read the first 3 :)

World Series: The Highlander's Touch by Karen Marie Moning I love time travel romances especially ones that involve highlanders. I hope you like this one as much as you liked the two books before it and since Scotland is way outside the US it works :)

Football - From Your Shelves or New to Them:

First and Goal: I recommend Kelley Armstrong she's one of my favourite authors and her paranormal Women of the Otherworld series is great. The first book is Bitten

Friday Night Lights:The Help by Kathryn Stockett I loved the book when I read it last year but I still haven't seen the movie. I hope you like the book as much as I did.

Touchdown:Wildflower Hill by Kimberley Freeman I read this one last week and its now on my top 100 list of my favourite books. It's such an emotional read!

Super Bowl: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is one of the best books I ever read and if you get a chance to read it I hope you enjoy it!

Hope you like your picks Kate!

Blackberry Summer and Willow Springs. If i have enough time I will try to read The Royal Treatment. I don't think I have read anything by MaryJanice Davidson.

Valerie | 295 comments Hi Kristi,

message 421: by Kristina Simon (new)

Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) Hi Valerie! You have such a wonderfully eclectic bookshelf. I had a wonderful time going through your books. Hope you find something you like!

Baseball - From Your To-Read (or Similar Unread) Shelf:
Home Run: It looks like you've enjoyed the book that you've read by Cecelia Ahern. Maybe it's time to try The Book of Tomorrow?

Field of Dreams: Looks like the last GhostWalker book you read was back in 2008. I thought the rest of the series was OK, but Conspiracy Game was by far my favorite, so far.

Clean Up Hitter: You rated In Service to the King pretty high, so why not pick up Seduced by the Vampire King by Laura Kaye this month?

World Series: Set in the Middle East, The Red Tent by Anita Diamant is one of my favorite books, ever.

Football - From My Shelves or New to You:
First and Goal: You seem to like books with magical elements in them. Have you tried Sarah Addison Allen's books? My favorite was The Sugar Queen.

Friday Night Lights: I really enjoyed The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. Haven't seen the movie, though......

Touchdown: I read Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon earlier this year and loved, loved, loved it!

Super Bowl: I see you've read a few of MaryJanice Davidson's Queen Betsy books. Another funny paranormal series I'm throughly enjoying is the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. The first book in the series is Halfway to the Grave.

The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern Conspiracy Game (GhostWalkers, #4) by Christine Feehan Seduced by the Vampire King (Vampire Warrior Kings, #2) by Laura Kaye The Red Tent by Anita Diamant The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd Drums of Autumn (Outlander, #4) by Diana Gabaldon Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost

Great picks, Valerie. Thanks! I've been meaning to get to
The Next Always (Inn BoonsBoro, #1) by Nora Roberts for months, so I'm definitely going to work that one in. Seriously thinking about Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning and The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer , too, if I have time. Thanks again!

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments UPDATE:

Hey Erin! So, here are my picks for the month:

Kissin' Tell (Rough Riders, #13) by Lorelei James Bunny and the Bear (Furry United Coalition, #1) by Eve Langlais Chasing Bliss (Nights in Bliss, Colorado, #7) by Sophie Oak Crocodile on the Sandbank (Amelia Peabody #1) by Elizabeth Peters Fury (New Species, #1) by Laurann Dohner Shades of Grey (Shades of Grey, #1) by Jasper Fforde

I started yesterday as soon as possible and finished Kissin' Tell (Rough Riders, #13) by Lorelei James on 9/1/12. I loved it but I love this series. It definitely wasn't my favorite of the series, but it was still a 5 star and likely a reread for me sometime in the future!

Chasing Bliss (Nights in Bliss, Colorado, #7) by Sophie Oak --Sophie Oak is just absolutely one of my favorites. She reminds me time and again why with each book I read.

No problem. Thanks for even thinking about it! ;-) I was able to get
The Next Always from my library's ebook site immediately. So I'm chugging away on that one. I put myself on the waiting list for Beyond the Highland Mist and The Host so, hopefully, they'll be waiting for me when I finish. And, of course, I've figured out which tasks I'll use 'em for in the SRC. ;-)

message 450: by Lady Allison (new)

Lady Allison | 118 comments Photojim, I dove right into Drink Deep & while I enjoyed the story, Merit really frustrated me in that one...& I hated Mallory. I went straight into Biting Cold & now am ridiculously frustrated with Ethan! I love, love, love this series but if we don't get some permanent resolution between those two, I'm going to rebel! I know it's urban fantasy so HEA is not guaranteed, but Jeaniene Frost has a committed couple & doesn't torture us with "will they or won't they" like that! It's possible for a happy couple to still kick ass & deal with drama that has nothing to do with them!!!

*sigh* Sorry, rant over! :)

Looking forward to starting Jill Shalvis soon!
