Currently retired, concentrating on catching up on my reading, learning quilting, and bear making...while helping run the family orange groves.

Living with husband and one cat (Chartreux) in a house too big for us unless the kids and grandkids come to visit.
In the past I bred Chartreux cats, and have been a keeper of bees. I worked for over a decade with a local veterinarian whose clinic also cared for exotic animals at our local museum (wolves, panthers, otters, etc.) and equally long for Oceanographers at FSU, once fortunate enough to spend three weeks on a research vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. The majority of my working career was spent staffing academic offices.
I also produced and stage managed both professional and student opera.
Without a liberal arts degree I would never have enjoyed many diverse and challenging jobs and life experiences. My formal studies included English literature, history, humanities, and biology, with continued education courses in computer sciences and veterinary medicine. A year of vocational study in horticulture helped prepare me for farming citrus.
