Standing objectives for me when I review any book - Assume that my review will be the one and only review that some potential reader is given the opportunity to see. Make the review informative. Provide some basic information about plot with no spoilers. Give good supporting reasons for all likes or dislikes. Make it simple for a potential reader to make a decision about reading the book themselves. And, finally, make the review interesting to read on its own merits as a stand-alone couple of paragraphs.
