It starts out with a girl and her friend going to a club on a light rail of some kind. Every night the people of the city have their memories wiped. Then one night a boy at one of these clubs forces the girl to stay awake in the night and she retains all of her memories from then on. They graduate and are chosen as decision makers for their society, joined in an arranged marriage, and given luxurious living quarters. The other society planners all have their memories - or else they could not work - and I remember one of them saying of the young graduates that, "They come in like Adam and Eve." This is a private joke among the societal planners, because while they have access to forbidden texts like Scripture they tell the girl and boy that it is "full of lies" and caused much anguish in the distant past.
That's about where I stopped reading; I think it may have been a Kindle book but I'm not really sure. Does anyone remember this, maybe? Thank you!...more

This one, right? Sounds very interesting. I couldn't answer the message in the friend request so I do it here. I'm very happy you could find it and clear the doubts :)This one, right?
