I too am very interested in lgbt characters and their struggles, this particular book is a rare example of a lesbian themed novel hailing from the Muslim world, namely Saudi Arabia.
It is a first person narrative effort, highly confessional in tone, very inward bent and loaded with angst as is to be expected.
