❝ I'm an emotional reader and I cannot stress just how emotional I am when I read. As a reader, I need to be able to relate to the main character -- emotionally and sometimes physically -- in order to fully enjoy a book. I tend to avoid stories written in male POVs for this very reason. That's a no-no for M/M books for me!
❝ I'm also, very picky with my literature. I hate cheating heroes, stereo-typically beautiful heroine (blonde, tall, blue-eyed white girl for example), I hate insta-love, love triangle (with few exceptions), and sexist, misogynistic characters. (and more.)
❝ With that said, I'm a sucker for protective, affectionate Heroes, plain heroines and slow-burn romance. I love everything romance and almost everything I read has a little romance in it -- be it Paranormal, Erotic, Dark, or Contemporary read. I love my HEAs but I can stand a little non-HEA once a year, LOL. I also read, super dark romance from time to time but I really need to be in the mood for it.
