I give out five-star ratings sparingly. Some would say I'm a harsh reviewer. Grammar, spelling, punctuation and style mean a lot to me; and a book really has to get under my rib cage and/or make me kick my feet in delight to earn five stars. I no longer post reviews for every book I've read.
After grad school, I started feeling more of a wish to escape from reality, so I started reading more SFF...and I'm not sure why I feel the need to explain. I love a good book about magic or other supernatural nonsense, especially one with a sense of humour.
