Wow, that's tough, because there are so many great fictional couples out there, it's hard to narrow it down to one. As much as I am leaning toward saying, "Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy," I find that my real answer is probably, "Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser," because I love that I am able to continue with them as a couple, even after the "I do" part of the story.
Most romances give you your Happily Ever After, and you are content to remember them with bliss and harmony. But with Claire and Jamie, you get to see them continue along on their journey, and grow older together -- their struggles as well as their successes.
Well, that and Jamie is just plain hot no matter how you slice it, and Claire is a lucky, lucky woman!
