Julie Cameron is an award-winning author and screenwriter of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. She sits on the Boards of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers (RMFW) in Colorado, and Writer’s Guild of Astoria in Oregon. She is a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA), the Rose City Romance Writers Chapter of RWA, Willamette Writers, and Oregon Writers Colony.

As a content editor, writing coach and instructor through her company, Landon Literary, Julie is also a member of Independent Book Publishers Assn. (IBPA), Colorado Independent Publishers Assn. (CIPA), and Northwest Editor’s Guild.

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Julie A. Cameron Wow, that's tough, because there are so many great fictional couples out there, it's hard to narrow it down to one. As much as I am leaning toward say…moreWow, that's tough, because there are so many great fictional couples out there, it's hard to narrow it down to one. As much as I am leaning toward saying, "Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy," I find that my real answer is probably, "Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser," because I love that I am able to continue with them as a couple, even after the "I do" part of the story.

Most romances give you your Happily Ever After, and you are content to remember them with bliss and harmony. But with Claire and Jamie, you get to see them continue along on their journey, and grow older together -- their struggles as well as their successes.

Well, that and Jamie is just plain hot no matter how you slice it, and Claire is a lucky, lucky woman!(less)

Cameron Knock wood, I haven't really had to deal with writer's block yet -- I have so many ideas wandering around in my head, I just keep writing them down fo…moreKnock wood, I haven't really had to deal with writer's block yet -- I have so many ideas wandering around in my head, I just keep writing them down for later. However, I have had to work with "real life" getting in my way, and the way I deal with that is to try to get everything done so that I can focus on writing (not an easy task!). It's important, I believe, to make sure to carve out a set time to dedicate -- and truly dedicate it -- to writing. My dedicated writing day is Mondays!(less)
