Christopher Williams
Christopher Williams asked Mark Lawrence:

I notice of all the authors I've enjoyed, [You are tied with another author for favorite for me.] You seem to most fans as extremely quotable. Your books seem to have such quotable eloquence from the characters regardless of how different they are.. What do you attribute this to? Is there a conscious method, or do you think/know of some aspect of yourself that lends to this?

Mark Lawrence I suspect this is down to the way I came to story writing. I began with poetry and developed a love for language at the line by line level.

Some writers are all about the story. They are great story tellers, and not particularly interested in the words on the small scale, just what the thing they build with them looks like when you stand back to consider it.
