If you sit around waiting for inspiration, you're not going to get a whole lot of words written. :o) She's a lazy thing, that inspiration, and more often than not you need to start working without her. It doesn't matter if you're a detailed planner who works out an outline first or if you write by the seat of your pants - the only way to get a story going is to start writing it. The more you write, the more inspired you'll be.
