Laura Drewry One of my all time favourites is from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

"Always."

Ooooh, I do love Snape. Always did, always will. It was beautiful reading that line in the book, but spoken in Alan Rickman's anguished voice - ugh! Gets me every time.
Laura Drewry Hi Leonie - funny thing about Griffin - I've had quite a few people ask the same question. The original series of books did not include his story, but I'm definitely thinking I should write it. So the answer to your question is yes, possibly, but I can't say when exactly. :) Thanks for your question!
Laura Drewry Sorry, Kenzie, this question just showed up (either that or I completely missed it! LOL) - I've just handed in Ellie's story, titled ACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE, and it'll be out in June. I can't wait to let Ellie and Brett loose - there aren't many men who'd be up for dealing with Ellie, but Brett's got her figured out. :)
Laura Drewry The idea for PLAIN JAYNE (and the stories to follow hers) came from a few different things that just sort of came together. Between 2008 - 2011 we owned a new & used bookstore which I knew, at some point, would end up in a story. I've always enjoyed books set in small towns, and once Jayne presented herself to me, I knew her story had to take place in one, and what better thing to do in a small town than to own a bookstore? As for the best-friends theme, I've always loved those type of stories, so when Nick presented himself as her protector, it only made sense that these two would be best friends.
Laura Drewry If you sit around waiting for inspiration, you're not going to get a whole lot of words written. :o) She's a lazy thing, that inspiration, and more often than not you need to start working without her. It doesn't matter if you're a detailed planner who works out an outline first or if you write by the seat of your pants - the only way to get a story going is to start writing it. The more you write, the more inspired you'll be.
Laura Drewry Read and write A LOT. As with most things, you're not going to improve if you don't practice, so write, re-write, delete, edit, re-write and write some more. Never stop. Same goes for reading. Read for enjoyment, but read for the lessons as well; study your favourite authors (and some of your not-so-favourite authors) to see how they craft their stories and how the rhythm of their words is different from the next author. It's the best kind of learning ever. :o)
Laura Drewry I don't think I can narrow it down to just one best thing. We get to create characters, we get to decide what makes these characters awesome, what struggles they'll have to face and what they're going to do or say to make those circumstances better or worse. Well, okay, that doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes characters take control and refuse to do or say what we want, but that's fun, too. LOL We get to reach out to readers, to hopefully touch at least one person to let them know they're not alone, that whatever she is feeling is being felt by someone else. If we do this well enough, we're giving the reader a few hours of escape; a few hours where she can dive into the lives of these characters and cheer them on to the end.

I can't think of a single bad thing about being a writer. It's a good gig.
Laura Drewry Right now I'm working on Ellie's story. You first meet her in PLAIN JAYNE as the owner of Pandora's, a little boutique in the small town of Newport Ridge. Ellie is many things, but tactful isn't one of them, so it'll be interesting to find her someone who's up to that challenge.
