G.R. Lyons The freedom. You can do anything, go anywhere, be anyone when you're writing a book. You can learn new things through research for a character background or location, things you may never have had reason to learn otherwise. You can explore a side of yourself you've never considered, and bring it to light in a way that may not happen in real life. I've learned more about myself through my writing than I ever did through life or work or therapy or any other method.
