Goodreads asked G.R. Lyons:

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

G.R. Lyons Too many to choose!

Recently, Max and Charlie from Cate Ashwood's The Storm Before the Calm, because they're so sweet together without being overly (and unrealistically) saccharine.

Mike and Sean from TJ Klune's Murmuration. Klune said it was his most romantic book to date, and I fully agree. Such a sweet, slow-burn romance.

Liz and Darcy from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Because...well, come on, it's Pride and Prejudice!

Locke and Jean from Scott Lynch's The Lies of Locke Lamore. Ok, not a romantic couple, just a pair of thieves, but I love their friendship and their banter. So perfect.

Malec! Magnus and Alec from Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter books. They were the first openly gay fictional couple I came across (that I can recall), and I loved every minute of them on the page. I think I read those books more for that couple than for any other reason.

Benjamin and Jace from Jay Bell's Something About... series. I'm still not over that one. So beautiful and heartbreaking.
