Goodreads asked Allynn Riggs:

How do you get inspired to write?

Allynn Riggs Music often triggers stories so there is a lot of it in my life. Most of the time it is classical music though some of the more current artists such as The Piano Guys, Pentatonics, Home Free, etc. can get creative juices flowing in the right direction. Then in order to work through and develop those bits and pieces into something useful I have to go driving. The best times for that are when I am in the driver seat (as I hopefully am when I am writing) late at night - either alone or all passengers are asleep. It helps keep me awake.

The next best way to work through possible story ideas is to go swimming - usually up to a mile at a time. I just have to remember to breathe. Sometimes I lose count of laps but if I get through a scene or come up with an idea it doesn't matter.
