On page 95 (of my copy) of The Shadow Throne, Terrowic says, "You can't trick a person who sees the red rose." What does this mean?

Great question, Madeline! When Jaron hears it, even he isn't sure what Terrowic is talking about. I think Terrowic is saying that there are some things in life that you see very clearly, but he's mixing up the saying. And the irony is that he doesn't see Jaron clearly at all - he has no idea all that Jaron is capable of doing.
