Jennifer lives at the base of a very tall mountain in Northern Utah with her husband, three children, and a naughty puppy. She loves the smell of rainy days, hot chocolate, and old books, preferably all at once. She is a former speech teacher, theater director, and enjoyed a brief but disastrous career as a door-to-door pollster. In her spare time, Jennifer tends to panic, wondering what she has forgotten to do that has allowed her any spare time.

Paramount Pictures has optioned the movie rights, which gives them the right to *think* about making a movie. They are writing a screenplay and things are still moving forward, but they will probably not make any final decision on this for a few more months. Check my blog in February (www.jennielsen.com) - whatever they decide, I'll announce it there first! Fingers crossed!(less)

Nic and Jaron do have some traits in common. Both are fiercely stubborn, have a tendency to say things they probably shouldn't, and can be rash in making decisions. But they have differences too. Nic is almost entirely uneducated and untrained for any useful skill, which bothers him. He is not as arrogant as Jaron can be, and does not walk such a fine line between truth and deception.

What I like about Nic is that he is in so. much. trouble, and yet he is trying so hard to make everything right again. It is him vs. an empire, and I love what Nic is willing to do to fix the problems caused by unleashing magic in Rome.(less)

Sharon Thank you so much for accepting my friend request! The Ascendance Trilogy is AMAZING. I was literally at the edge of my seat in each book. Sage/Jaron is a brilliant, inspiring protagonist. The characters are totally amusing and the plot is engaging (the twists are particularly mind-blowing). One of my favorite trilogies, definitely. :)

Jennifer Nielsen Dove wrote: "Very pleased to meet you, Jennifer! Our neighborhood is a big fan of the Ascendance Trilogy and we are all hoping to get to see it on the big screen someday!"

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for accepting my friend request. I absolutely loved the False Prince and have reviewed it on my blog here: http://happyindulgence.wordpress.com/...

Looking forward to reading Runaway Prince!

message 18: by Cindy

Cindy Chung OMG!!! i wish you could chose the date, if you could, i bet you would release the book a day or two after the books was published!!! Oh, and BTW, good luck editing!!!
another day closer to the book release!!

Jennifer Nielsen Cindy - the crazy thing about this business is the release date is set by the publisher. RUNAWAY KING has actually been finished for several months, but it takes time to do all the printing and distributing. I'm actually doing editing for book 3 right now. Crazy right?

Have a great day! (One day closer to the book's release...)
