Rachel mostly read magazines like Motor Trend. To write Rachel and Isaiah, I went to the grocery store and bought as many car magazines as I could and read all the articles for close to a year. The characters in your "Pushing the Limits" series are all connected in some way. What inspired these connections? Was the inspiration a network of people you knew throughout your life or did it come to you in a vision/dream of some sort? (I ask because the connections sometimes begin delicately yet grow further to reach other characters aka Abby)
