I know it's a bit late (year wise) I wanted to ask, do you think you'll keep making Y/A contemporary novels such as the "Pushing The Limits Series"? I'm apart of the younger audience, and I haven't really found any novels like those ones around the internet. I was just wondering if there would be anymore like that :)

Hey Katie! Not exactly a question here, just want you to know that your books have really helped me a lot. I read all your books during the lockdown, and believe me when I say that they got me through some rough days. So thank you. Now that I'm actually writing this, might as well ask you something... Has this pandemic affected your writing in any way? Would the next book be something different?

Has the pandemic affected my writing?

Short answer: yes. That and a combination of other personal things that happened in my life made it very hard for me to focus on a YA Contemporary. In my books, I usually tackled tough issues, and I found that I couldn't focus on tough stuff. I was already in a rough place personally before the pandemic happened and then the pandemic just made the dark feel darker. I found happiness in writing A Wicked and Beautiful Garden. It is an adult paranormal book that was fun to write. And I discovered that was what I needed--an escape from reality.

I love all your books. Currently, I working on rereading all of your books to be able to read The Novella Collection book. Do you have plans to writing stories for Ethan, Jax and Kaden? I would absolutely love to read their own stories.

Yes, I have considered writing a book for her. She has been a character that has been on my mind for years. Obviously, if I wrote her, it would be an adult novel. I don't have any specific plans at the moment, but I would love to write her story one day.

I hope you'll have a chance to read the Thunder Road series and the Only a Breath Apart series. Also, I have a new series coming out, Witches of the Island. The first book is called A Wicked and Beautiful Garden and will be released on May 5, 2021. It is my first adult paranormal/fantasy in a contemporary setting.

My next book is called a Wicked and Beautiful Garden. It is the first book in the Witches of the Island Series.

Here is a summary:

Aw, thank you! I was inspired by two things when writing Nowhere But Here. Originally, I came up with the idea of Eli and Meg's story (Emily's parents), but I realized quickly that their story didn't end with a happy ending. I decided to tell their story through the eyes of their daughter, Emily. My second influence is where I grew up--there were people who rode in MCs in my neighborhood.

I know that you like to do playlist for your books. I was just curious to know if you had the same feeling for Taylor Swift's Folklore album to be Only a Breath Apart playlist? Especially the song Seven. Maybe it's because I read Only A Breath Apart in June 2020 and Folklore came out in July 2020. Every time I listen to Folklore I think of Only A Breath Apart.

I loved Nowhere but Here, it was such a good book. I keep imagining this plot in this book would be a great movie. Would Nowhere but Here ever have an opportunity for that? Also I'm hoping there is another book about Emily and OZ that you are writing. I love your book.
