I've just finished listening to the audiobook of Our Endless Numbered Days, I wish had read it first though. I loved it and will be buying my mum a copy for her birthday and perhaps a sneaky copy for my bookshelf! I can't wait for your next book. Just a question about Oliver Hannington, if he told James about Die Hutte why did he not tell Ute where Peggy and James were?

Hi Lucy, I'm so pleased you enjoyed it, and I hope your Mum enjoys it too!
That's a good question. I think Oliver was a thoroughly bad guy who didn't think about anyone but himself, so although he might have heard that Peggy and James go missing (Michael alludes to the fact) he really isn't focused on them by then, and secondly he goes back to America (or at least that's what Michael supposes), so I'm not sure he would be that aware of what happened and how important the map was.

I don't have a question, but I wanted to say how very much I enjoyed Swimming Lessons. Thank you. It's really good (and I mean *really* good), and I hope it does very well for you. Oh - and Townes van Zandt as a writing soundtrack? We won't be getting a fluffy, lighthearted RomCom any time soon then? :o) Kind regards Sid

Hi I'm just reading Our endless Numbered Days (btw, now also listening to Iron & Wine, too!) : I was eight in '76 (and living in London) and only a few pages in the descriptions of that year really resonate with me. I was wondering if you were writing this from memory or reportage?

Hello Claire.
I was wondering, do you know what happens to Peggy after the book's events? I was worried for example that she might be in trouble with the police after it was proven that Reuben didn't exist. I was also wondering if she would keep the baby.
Finally, how much of what she tells us about Reuben are simply her imagination (dreams perhaps?) and how much really happened?
Thanks.
