Hi Jessica! Kestrel again, I'm on chapter Three in Skyborn. I like the book a lot. However, I'm wondering why gargoyle is spelled gargol in you book. Did you want it to be unique? Or, is it a different creature then I'm thinking?

Jessica Khoury Gargols are a little different from gargoyles (much later in the series you'll find out why!) so I wanted to show that difference by giving them a slightly different name.

Hello! Big fan here! Skyborn is hands down one of the best series I've ever read. I am desperately hoping for a fourth book or an epilogue book of sorts, and I'm writing a fantasy/adventure story of my own. I'm on page 108 and chapter 11. I was wondering, what advice do you have for young authors or about writing in general, especially on amazing, complex characters and beautifully clever plots and adventure novels?
